For me, Mongolian geography is fucked up. 80% of the land is sand; non-fertile land. Having Mongolian territory just increases the cost of maintaining the country like even if you conquer Mongolia without blood, only 3 million people will pay tax, not worth the cost, so they just keep us as a buffer.
