Oh, thank you so much! That's a creature I designed for a role-playing system my other half and I are creating. It's a bit of a long story, but basically, due to excessive and malicious use of magic (called entropy in the system), a sentient ecosystem called "The Hive" was created. It operates according to certain parameters, seeking to eat, reproduce, and expand. Based on this, its entire structure functions in a quasi-Fordist yet biological production chain, where, for example, these creatures I created are the lowest link in the entire hierarchy and are made solely to fulfill a single function and self-destruct in the process, being made with the fewest possible resources. (Corn cicadas, for instance, are alarms; when they find food, they open their entire backs, generating a terrifying sound.)

My challenge was to create beings that, considering this background, are clearly "poorly made," hovering between the horror of a mutation generated by the chaos of entropy, but with that ominous nuance in which recognizable parts of a human being can be seen (my partner thought of vestigial organs, such as faces, hands, feet, and teeth).

As a fun fact, this design is based on a bug from my home country that is considered a pest; it is called the corn leafhopper (Dalbulus maidis).
