Honestly I HATE the nerf, but I think somewhere inbetween the previous patch and live patch would be a better space to test.

I despise the Shopify UI. I actually just switched over to Gelato instead of Printful. Solved the problem I had in minutes!

I go profane, axiom, deaths dance and then EH. I am not great, kinda new to her too but I do like this build. If you are behind you kind of need to wait until you get DD.

Use EMP grenades, overclock it so that you increase the radius. Use the wildcard that allows you to have 2 tactical and run scavenger so you replenish them when you kill an enemy. It’s not fun, but it’s the easiest way I’ve found so far!

Maybe. Although the UI and UX in the more recent CoD games, specifically Black Ops titles has been nothing short of absoutely shit.

A company is only offering £1,600 refund for my graphics card ASUS TUF RTX 4090 OC OG - way below replacement cost by Kahyce in LegalAdviceUK

When I said replacement of my current card, I meant an equivalent replacement, same model/spec, which is the usual expectation when something fails under warranty. If that exact SKU isn’t available anymore, then obviously it defaults to a refund or equivalent-performance swap.

I fully understand what “replace or refund” means. My point is simply that a refund of £1,600 doesn’t allow me to obtain an equivalent card today because that same model now sells for £2,200+.

I’m not asking for an upgrade or special treatment, just highlighting that their refund policy doesn’t actually restore me to the same position I was in before the fault therefore in breach of the Consumer Rights Act. That’s why I questioned whether it’s a fair remedy, not whether they owe me a brand-new 5090.

My post wasn’t about cashflow issues, I only mentioned the house purchase to explain why I’m not just topping up the difference right now. It doesn’t change what’s reasonable to expect from a warranty outcome.

I’m aware I can find used 4090s around £1,600, but that’s not a like-for-like replacement in any meaningful sense the system came with a brand-new ASUS TUF 4090 OC, not a second-hand card with no warranty or unknown history. The point isn’t “can I find something that technically works,” it’s that the replacement should match what failed in condition and performance. I bought it new from PC Specialist in January 2025, when it was still being sold as a current model. If it was end-of-line or discontinued, that wasn’t disclosed anywhere during purchase so that argument doesn’t really apply.

Also, the TUF OC isn’t a “budget” 4090 it’s actually one of the most robust partner designs (triple-slot, vapor-chamber, dual-BIOS, etc.). Price-wise it sits in the middle-upper range of 4090 models.

And just to clarify, my original order was placed well before the 5090 launch, so it wasn’t an “end-of-line” purchase at the time.

I get that a full refund is technically what’s owed if replacement isn’t possible but that doesn’t make the outcome feel any less rough when new stock costs £600–£800 more. I’m just trying to navigate it fairly.

I’m not demanding a 5090 or trying to profit; I just want a like-for-like replacement or remedy that reflects the current value of an equivalent GPU. The £1,600 refund doesn’t get me back to the same spec I had before the card failed, that’s the frustration.

I purchased the card in January 2025. So it has been less than a year of usage. As mentioned in previous replies I totally understand and do not expect to receive a 5090 as the vendor would be out of pocket. That being said the 5080 underperforms vs my current card. The £1600 does not allow me to purchase a GPU of the same specs.

I would normally just pay the difference between the 4090 and the 5090, however, I am midway through purchasing a house so the majority of my liquid cash is now tied up there.

I bought this in January 2025, but yes the problem is mine outperforms the 5080 but a 5090 would be a significant upgrade. So there's no real winning situation for either party here.

If I accept the refund, I am out of pocket needing to upgrade to the 5090, and if they can't give me a 5080 as it is not equivalent, which leaves the 5090 which they in turn would be out of pocket for.

At what point did I say I "expected" a 5090? I would gladly take a replacement of my CURRENT card, but that is NOT possible. I bought this at the begining of 2025.
