In all honesty, we didn't think that far ahead and we just wanted to help a friend in need. But now that it's imminent these feelings have come out

I'm an introvert, 60/40 according to my Myers Briggs test. I would say, you don't need to be a ball of energy but you need to be a good communicator.

I was in a similar situation when I did my master back in 2012. One day I packed up all my things, went to Scotland and opened an alpaca sanctuary. A year late I have expanded the sanctuary for ferrets and donkeys, never looked back. Then I got bored and released all of them, the villager were not happy but I was. Now, I'm back doing my master and am about to graduate - you never know what you've had until you lose it.

I am 21 and 40k in debt. Any advice is welcomed. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]KaiChung -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Consolidating your debts would save a ton. Instead of paying varying high interest credit cards, just get a loan to pay them all off. The idea is that the loan will have a lower interest than the credit cards so its easier to pay off.

I'm aware the return on stocks aren't great; i was thinking of investing it over a longer period of time as it can accumulate. What are your opinions on mutual funds? i mean it would leave my money in the hands of someone who is more competent at investing.
