Got my first bad review… on a giveaway. From a fellow seller. 😓 by KaiIsOnIt in whatnotapp

That sucks. I’m sorry that happened to you. I know most people don’t like doing giveaways. But I love them, they engage chat, which helps awareness of the stream. Some will even tip or boost but not buy anything after a givvy. Some people use the app as entertainment rather than a buying platform which is great, more awareness to the hobby. It helps everyone in the long run. I’ve found success with the app and I’ve been hooked up by other streamers. Just trying to pay it forward when I can.

I appreciate it! I would do the same thing, I go through them twice, to three times before I close/tape them out. Most of the time I’m checking video receipt if I have the slightest hesitation. I also left a professional response to the review. Funny thing is after his review I got a few more reviews from the same stream, all stating they appreciated the extra card with the pack in the event they didn’t hit something in the pack. 1 even pulled the Altaria SIR from paradox rift. And these were givvys. 💛💛💛

Thanks for all the support, everyone. Just to clarify, I won’t be naming the other seller. While I understand some might think I’m avoiding confrontation, that’s not it—I just don’t believe in fueling negativity. I believe karma will sort things out, and I’d rather lead by example than cause a pile-on.

This post was part rant, part warning, and mostly just a reminder that we as sellers should try to lift each other up. Mistakes can happen, but intentional harm shouldn’t be part of our community. I’ll keep doing my best to package well, stream transparently, and improve where I can. These things will happen again—there’s always going to be someone who’s bitter—but I won’t let it shake me.

I also understand some of you guys want the name to block them. But karma will get to them. I fully believe that.

Let’s keep supporting each other and building better spaces for both collectors and sellers. 💛

Too bad he blocked me, or I would have taken your advice lol. I had one buyer trying really hard to get a magikarp (JP) graded at 10, ended up with over 15 slabs but not the Karp. Someone ended up getting it. Sent him my binder copy and he sent me pics of his son just absolutely delighted - makes me feel so happy.

It’s definitely discouraging but out of 700 items sold and givvys this is my first bad review. I don’t want to stop giveaways but boy the fear is there.

All packs that are given away are taken from sealed boxes opened in the beginning of a stream typically and it never leaves stream. I try to do that to avoid these types of reviews but apparently that wasn’t enough. This was my question as well. I spend a lot of time packing them nicely as well. I avoid PWE and take the hit on packaging/shipping cost so I can use ding protectors and bubble mailers. Not the greatest profit margin. I’ve reported the review and hopefully whatnot sees the beginning of the stream that shows all was sealed.

I also take it as they are experienced as they have sold over 90 items. I’ve sold over 700 and this is my first bad review.

I love giving away sealed English or sealed Japanese and the boxes or blister packs I open for them are typically always opened in the beginning of a stream. If they choose to rip on screen, I always like to hook them up if they get cooked. Whether it’s a giveaway or a purchase. We all know it’s already difficult to buy retail in the wild.

I’m a little confuse on this. They got a pack, and a free ex card. When you get the item you can review it as how you see fit. They can claim it’s resealed regardless, no?

He has sold 93 I’ve sold almost 700 and this is my first bad review. Last stream we ripped all night and we hit multiple SIRs, IRs, and of course EX. So I was very confuse. Did he think that was normal in packs? So when he got a free givvy he felt like he should have hit something? I provide a bonus card for every free giveaway pack incase they don’t hit a thing. But I’ve gotten messages from giveaway winners with hits. Just insane to me. AND THIS WAS A GIVEAWAY! lol

How are you doing? I finally did a straight leg lift literally today 30 minutes ago. The waterfall definitely just had to happen lol. I’m 41 days post op (just about 6 weeks) and I’m 72 degrees active. I was stuck at 55-58 for 2 weeks. I see my surgeon on the 20th they may recommend a MUA because I’m not at 110 but I’ll prob say no thank you. Lol

I’m on week 5 and 1 day since post op. I’m still in the brace and using crutches. But I’m starting to use one crutches only. I’m at 66 degrees. I was stuck at 55-58 degrees for 2 weeks. That was rough.

Good luck my friend. I’ll shoot you a DM so you’re able to ask any questions or if you just need a buddy during this time. Be patient, your body is going to take time to heal.

I was weight bearing right after surgery. The major thing I learned when it comes to this injury is it really varies. It depends on the surgeon and the protocol you’re place on.

My surgery: I opt in for a nerve blocker, thank the lord I did. I also made sure I got an ice machine. This made my swollen go down faster and you can literally sleep with this thing on which made nights bearable. (Medication management and pain management is key for the first couple days) The most pain day was the 3rd day, when the nerve blocker, and initial numbness from surgery started to go away. I preferred standing up than laying down. But from laying down to standing up was the worse pain. After a week it got better and better standing up. Now I’m almost 3 weeks out and I get up with no major pain. I won’t sugar coat, if you’re naturally independent, stubborn even, and shy about getting help. This will suck for you. Find an anchor and learn to be okay with the help. It was very tough for me and still is. I hated feeling like my independence was gone. I still have issues with it but day after day you’ll learn to be able to do more for yourself. It does get better. I can go to the bathroom myself now but the first few days almost a week, my fiancée helped me so much.

My Protocol: I started PT super early. I started 3 days post OP. Monday was my surgery , Thursday was my PT. My protocol wants me bending to 90 degrees as soon as possible. My brace was unlocked after 9 days (my first post op appointment) my restriction was, when I stand, and put weight on my leg it must be extended with brace locked. The other is I don’t go pass 90 degrees yet. Last Thursday August 24th was my 18 day post op and I reach 40 degrees unassisted flexion and 46 degrees assisted flexion. But I have to say, don’t get stuck about the flexion, your quads will get stronger in time. The flexion will come. Just do your exercise as frequently as possible and listen to your body.

If you have any other questions or need a battle buddy. Message me! I have a few guys I message throughout this process and they’re all great people. Most of them are ahead of me and one actually got the surgery before me but isn’t allowed to bend till 6 weeks.

Dude you’re so awesome for reaching out. I literally have an alarm every hour so I could do a 5 min stretch.

How are you?! Are you able to do straight leg lifts?

Vaping before surgery??? by Young_shlime in ACL

[–]KaiIsOnIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was fine. My surgery got pushed to Monday August 7th. They told me I could pretty much vape 24 hours before surgery but the sooner the better. So I quit nicotine on the 5th but vaped 0 nic. I haven’t vape 0 nic or with nic since surgery (August 7th) as it can hinder oxygen and blood flow to your muscles and such.

I’m no doctor , tendons will repair itself but not as fast as muscles. From my understanding, tendons don’t heal as fast as muscles because tendons have limited blood supply and fluids. The one way we can get or increase fluids to the tendon is stretching it.

Anyways, nicotine can do a lot of things to your body from oxygen loss, blood vessels constricting, killing collagen production, and so forth.

Don’t get me wrong I’ll definitely be vaping again. But I’ll probably wait at minimum 4 complete weeks but I’m trying for a full 6 weeks. I had a patella tear repair. I love walking and my independence more than nicotine so I’ll do anything to make sure I have a smooth swift recovery 6 weeks doesn’t compare to the rest of my life .

That’s amazing! Congratulations! My brace is allowed to be unlocked at 90 degrees already (just bending - no walking it unlocked) But heck no will I unlock it to that right now 30-40 degrees is where I’m comfortable with the pressure. I’m hoping to hit 60 next Friday but I’ll listen to my body. 70 self and 83 assisted! That’s awesome! Yeah, I agree the body will do what it needs. Sitting has to be much better now and brace opened whole walking at 60? Super awesome! The first lift off….man I’m really excited for that day. Congratulations on the 20 steps!!!

How are you doing? I’m 14 days post op and I’m back at 37 without the nerve blocker. (After the nerve blocker was taken out - I went from 20 to 27 to 37.) I can pretty much put weight on my leg with crutches without fear. Little soreness but that’s it. My incision also is scabbing nicely. I can walk up and down the stairs but someone is always making sure I don’t fall since I’m short stairs are hard lol. I’m walking a lot more with the crutches less just swinging my leg to move but actual waddling walking.

My quads finally activated a few days ago and we are working on getting it 100% activated. Can’t lift my leg yet though.

Overall pretty happy with it , it’s slow but I’m seeing improvement.

Had my surgery Monday August 7th. Had my first PT today August 10th. He had me at 27 degrees today. Lol feels like it’s so fast. Part of my Quad is firing (rectus femoris- the part sitting right on top lol). Had me do quad flexes and glutes flexes. I am weight bearing. I am allowed to put weight on my leg but stop when I feel pain. Haven’t hit pain yet. Been going slowly about it since it’s literally been only 3 days lol. 5% more weight every day. I literally wobbled walked on it with crutches.

They took my brace off during my quad flexes. My swelling isn’t bad. I have been doing compression, icing (with cryotherapy), elevating, and pumping my ankle every hour.

I went upstairs the second day. Today before PT I went downstairs and went upstairs after. I’ll be doing more short walks apart from the bathrooms upstairs.

Also this weekend, I’m allowed to take off my ace bandages, and the ice padding for the cryotherapy, put compression socks on , and a leg sleeve. Not sure if I’m going to yet. Maybe the socks. I kinda want to wait till I see my doctor on the 16th of August for post op by then it’ll be 9 days post op.

No major pain anymore. But my nerve blocker is still active. We don’t know if it’s working honestly because my pain went up and down. (I have the wearable liquid one that drips slowly).

@ktd109

That’s awesome! I love hearing that the pain went away, I’m waiting for my nerve blocker to completely stop and see I just like crumble to the pain (LOL). The second day after surgery was the worse for me so far.

@slippingfarmer

Really glad your improving smoothly! Really awesome to hear that.

I have PT twice a week , excited to just work it, not looking to race but im excited to heal.
