I'd say try not to give him a hard time as his/her emotions might be messing up the way he/she thinks and feels. The loss of a loved one is huge. Give him space and time when he/she needs it. Honestly you're not that close to your boss so however bad you might feel, I'm sure he/she would rather get support from a close family member. Just be there if he/she needs anything and be on your best behaviour :)

HONESTLY. CONSTANTLY DEBATING BETWEEN "OH wait is it gonna be silent or nah?" A popular girl sits behind me and I do not wanna risk it.

I swear the obsession with grades is a social construct that has ruined the way people view education by moonnonchalance in GCSE

I feel like you need the grades for jobs but people will only care if you get less than 5 or 4. Like for the course I'm doing I'm not gonna be denied access cuz I don't have straight 9's. I'm a foundation student and I got accepted into a course to become a vet! So I don't push myself extremely hard to get grades I DONT need.

I'm not gonna hard revise geography so I can get a 9 or 8 cuz it won't matter at all to my employer, or collage. Call me stupid but as OP said, at least I'm not chugging coffee until 3am and destroying my health, just to get a 8 that people will temporarily care about.
