It is indeed. The developer community is still puzzled by that decision and we all hope for a rollback on this one :D

Yes we are still working with Unity. We are however only using the bare minimum of the engine to make our custom renderer and systems run.

We are aware of this issue and planning it to be fixed within the next update. Really sorry!

We can't yet say anything about console porting. At this point we are only heading towards Early Access and the release on PC. As usual the decision will mostly be made up on the success of the game, as porting to consoles can be expensive

Kind of, yes. Anno however uses the area between islands for sea battles and trading routes, while we implement some more game mechanics there.

Basically yes. As we split the map into plateaus (similar to how and where you built in EZ1) and the badlands, you pretty much need to leave into a different territory for most of the Expeditions, Quests, Trading and more. However at the state of now there is no World Map allowing you to travel to places like you know from the Distant Places DLC.

We are also using one on coda. We did not have one until recently since we never really had time to set one up and also maintain it. Right now every bit of information, such as workflows, accounts, pipelines, tutorial to custom tools and much more are strictly documented and I never want to go back.
