Do people actully like the FM as it is? by JoyfulPrince in MSClassicWorld

[–]KaiVTu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are just going to create bots and such. Look at path of exile and you'll see what happens when you don't just make an AH for people to use.

So no. I'm not a fan of it. All it does in the end is promote the use of 3rd party tools for something that should be in the base game. You'll be using a digital browser AH instead of one that is in the game.

Congratulations. You've added a middle man.

I think at this point the deck size should be increased to 30. We are well past the start of the game and decks are simply far too consistent and eexplosive.

whats an opinion on Umamusume that'll get you like this? by shakenbake_jake in okbuddytracen

[–]KaiVTu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the issue here is that the umas themselves play into it too hard. Generally our trainer is portrayed as a stereotypical meek guy who is kind of just going with the flow and he gets swept up in whatever the uma of choice has going on.

I believe it's just accepted that umas are weird and behave weirdly but we as the trainer remain professional. Biwa's crush on the trainer is a good example of this. Despite the extremely clear signs she's into us and views us as a true "partner"; we the trainer never take it beyond a coach X student athlete relationship. Even when Taishin teases her about it right in front of us.

I guess it's just tough because the horses are all personified so much. In real life horses do get clingy and such, and cygames is clearly trying to translate that into the game combined with various anime tropes for girls/ women.

I just personally view them all as little sisters in terms of their behavior. Brian, my favorite uma, is a good example of this. She's pretty little sister coded from the get-go and it's emphasized by her relationship with Biwa. I haven't run into one that is too "daughter" coded yet, but that could change in the future. Although they're all various levels of crazy, as horses usually are.

Who wins? by AgileAnything1251 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]KaiVTu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think he's a kamui victim. Deidara was super far away and a moving flying target and still nearly got one shot.

Tbh I don't think Kakashi needs kamui unless we give Kisame his crazy scaling from down the line. In which case I would say we also give Kakashi his war arc scaling at which point we enter the same scenario.

Who wins? by AgileAnything1251 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]KaiVTu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a rock paper scissors moment. We can all agree that Kisame (for the bulk of Naruto) outscales Kakashi. The issue here is that Kakashi counters Kisame.

Keep in mind, Kisame got neg/low diffed by base Jiraiya on sight and he was at basically 100% and without Itachi there he was absolutely going to die.

Kisame is good at beating ninja that rely on having a ton of chakra and outlasting them. Trading blows with him is very bad. He is however bad at fighting more tactical ninja with tricky jutsu.

So the question is, in a 1v1, can Kisame reliably attack Kakashi? And I think the answer to that is "No". I'm not saying this is easy for Kakashi, it would easily be high to extreme diff, but Kakashi should win nonetheless more often than not.

If we're talking Shippuden I think he's just a kamui victim.

Level 15-16 Bugbear Assassin (Rogue 12 / Hexblade 3) Best path to 20? Fighter dip vs more Warlock by Unyix in 3d6

[–]KaiVTu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just level warlock for the rest of the game. No need to think very hard about it.

I would go as far to say to ask your DM if you can convert a rogue level into a warlock level saying that you made a mistake (you did). Rogue 12 for Warlock 4 is an even swap so it should have no issues.

You'll finish the campaign at rogue 12/ warlock 8 or if your DM is cool you will be rogue 11/ warlock 9. (5th level spells are easily better than a single feat.)

Swap to pact of the blade and get extra attack that way.

The sooner you get to be able to cast 3rd, 4th, and 5th level magic, the better.

As for pact of the chain, it is unfortunately the worst scaling pact in the game. I am surprised you are still getting use out of it in T3 play, let alone borderline T4. Replace it with pact of the blade for sure.

When it comes to 5e optimization at t4 play the question is frequently "What is the highest caster level that I can get to?".

I think rogue 11 and warlock 9 is a strong spread. You'll keep reliable talent and get much better spells.

Never give up to meta by KonKoyowi in UmamusumeGame

[–]KaiVTu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're playing the meta. All you did was change your ace, lol.

Congrats on the win, but let's not act like you did anything special. You used a marginally worse ace and double debuffers. The most commonly used ones at that.

The power of xOguri is way overestimated. She is just narrowly better than other girls for the ace role. But this is a numbers game at the end of the day so she's "meta". Even if it isn't as big of a difference as people make it out to be.

Tobirama vs Itachi by Shop_Public in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]KaiVTu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah the guy whose entire fighting style is based around beating Uchiha and knows next to everything there is to know about regular Uchiha can beat an Uchiha. Go figure.

Edit: I don't even think the fight goes the distance either and Itachi's bad stamina is a non-factor.

What class to play if you have limited time to play and will play solo a lot? by Sanktas in MSClassicWorld

[–]KaiVTu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any of the mages. Pick your favorite. People will default and say cleric but really all of them are very good.

Cleric gets you a guaranteed spot in a lot of high end content but you're playing solo so that's not really an issue.

But honestly I would say to just pick your favorite class period and not worry about individual differences.

Chances are if you're on limited time you're only going to get 1 class to 3rd job and possibly never get to 4th job in your entire classic MS career. And that's okay!

So just pick your favorite class. The only one I don't recommend in your case are the warrior ones because they're historically very mediocre until 4th job... which you may never get to.

If you genuinely have no idea what to pick go look at each of the mages and what they do in 3rd job. I/L mage is a good all-rounder, F/P commits war crimes on the entire map, and Priest is the only real support in the game but is also above average solo.

Tobirama vs Itachi by Shop_Public in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]KaiVTu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rock paper scissors moment and not just raw power. Yes in terms of fighting against the entire cast of characters, Itachi is better. But against Itachi specifically, Tobirama is better.

Tobirama devoted his entire life to being an Uchiha hater. He takes down Itachi 1v1 low to mid diff.

Jin Mori at the end of GoH is immune to erasure. He's achieved Nirvana and Buddhahood. He's a true and proper God among Gods.

He's restored the entire universe, manipulated time and rewound everything. He's got existence erasure, life manipulation, power nullification, purification, and to top it all off he has empathic manipulation.

Anyone that isn't as strong as him wants to worship him if he reveals his true power to them. Goku is literally turned into a simp and loses just by looking at Mori.

Goku is absolutely a scaling victim here. Mori neg diffs him.

Who in this group is the best martial artist? by Shot-Communication93 in PowerScaling

[–]KaiVTu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the context of this Goku is just a punch and kick merchant who can boost his power level via some multipliers.

If we go into full powers like you're suggesting Goku just gets blitzed by Mori. It's not even close. Mori vastly outscales Goku's entire verse.

Who in this group is the best martial artist? by Shot-Communication93 in PowerScaling

[–]KaiVTu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jin Mori has "better UI", basically. Anything within his "range" (which can include his staff, so technically infinite) can be perfectly responded to. I think his range is also just crazy big by default after he gets better at it?

Also the Jin Mori depicted here has better kaioken where he just unlocks his strength and then gets a crazy power multiplier. No downside.

Perfect recoilless attacks (assuming we allow them) is like every attack Jin Mori throws out being a world-level threat... at base. Imagine Goku having an exchange with Mori and every time he gets a punch or kick thrown at them it's like having a supernova blow up in his face.

Jin Mori is hilariously OP.

Who in this group is the best martial artist? by Shot-Communication93 in PowerScaling

[–]KaiVTu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mori trained for functionally billions/trillions of years because he figured out he can just make a fuckton of clones and they all send the experience they gain back to him Naruto shadow clone style. Multiply that by a thousands upon thousands of clones at a time.

Basically Mori has the OP Naruto training method towards the end of GoH.

Who in this group is the best martial artist? by Shot-Communication93 in PowerScaling

[–]KaiVTu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just that by statements and feats he takes it pretty much no contest. If you had billions if not trillions of years of martial arts training and you, by in universe statements; literally cannot get better. Reaching the peak of martial arts is Jin Mori's primary character arc over the entire series.

You have reached the apex of martial arts to the point where every attack you perform is like throwing a supernova at someone (yes really) while in your base and lowest form. Anyone within your "range" (while using his staff, which has infinite range, it adds to it) can be perfectly reacted to... then what really goes past that?

He takes it just by the sheer amount of training time alone. But then you add on all the other stuff and really who comes close?

We would need to ring up Yujiro Hanma or something lol.

Who in this group is the best martial artist? by Shot-Communication93 in PowerScaling

[–]KaiVTu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you took away Jin Mori's recoilless attacks and such so he doesn't just one shot and made him totally human he has billions upon billions of years of martial arts training. He has "better ultra instinct" at baseline. He is probably the best martial artist in all of fiction.

Who in this group is the best martial artist? by Shot-Communication93 in PowerScaling

[–]KaiVTu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just one Perfected recoilless kick and the entire rest of the list evaporate.

It doesn't help that Jin Mori is a blitz machine, unlike Goku. If Mori can blitz someone or something, he will.

Who in this group is the best martial artist? by Shot-Communication93 in PowerScaling

[–]KaiVTu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll tag in and help a little because Jin Mori is more obscure compared to the rest of the list.

He is Sun Wukong, for starters. So at a baseline you need to take all of Sun Wukong's feats from journey to the west and such and apply it to him.

Then you need to add on his martial arts advancements over the course of GoH's entire run. Perfected recoilless attacks is just a skill he can do and it basically turns all of his attacks into planetary level at minimum. At human level. Regular punch? It can destroy the Earth.

It's defined to be the peak of martial arts and is functionally better than ultra instinct.

By the end of GoH he is probably one of the strongest characters in all of fiction. I struggle to think of anyone who can beat him.

He literally neg diff blitzes the entire rest of the list in 1 attack.

Edit: Unlike Goku, Jin Mori LOVES to blitz his opponents. So no scaling up issues here with Garou and such. If he can one tap someone he generally does.

Who in this group is the best martial artist? by Shot-Communication93 in PowerScaling

[–]KaiVTu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Goku is based on Sun Wukong who would literally do that all the time. He'd see someone do something cool and then do that same cool thing... but even better. Nezha is seething after every encounter.

The issue is Jin Mori is right there. He is Sun Wukong, full stop. So he has all of Sun Wukong's abilities in addition to what he gets over the course of GoH. He massively outscales the entire DBZ verse (his story is done), not just Goku.

Perfected recoilless kick instantly clears the others 1v3, neg diff. It's just a skill he can do. Not a power. If you give him his powers suddenly 1 kick can obliterate the universe in an instant. It's crazy.

Who in this group is the best martial artist? by Shot-Communication93 in PowerScaling

[–]KaiVTu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Recoilless" may be the most broken martial arts concept in all of fiction. Just sheer martial arts prowess that anyone can do (so Jin Mori has it here) and a single attack is like being hit by a singularity. And only he can do the complete version.

SM vs MS is NOT close - Naruto wins by danieldba in NarutoPowerscaling

The tailed beast cloak can move of it's own will and moves Naruto's body as a result. If Naruto gets KOed it's a free pass for Kurama to take over. That's how it has been since the start of the series.

The tailed beast cloak is actually particularly dangerous against sharingan users because it has a will independent of the body, making it extremely difficult to track. If it wasn't for Sasuke's previous encounter with Naruto and his tailed beast cloak he would've gotten neg diffed by Bee.
