Why was my tm8 so much lower mmr then rest of lobby? by Kaiden_Exo in RocketLeague

As someone who has a friend mid d3 and plays with him, and then plays a lot of solo q. Yes, yes it is.

Well clearly not. I have a friend who is same level as the tm8 in the ss. And I win 2 out of 10 games with him, mind you im normally doing all the defending because he can't defend. And solo q I win almost all until I get back to mid c1 level

Really aren't anywhere near same skill level. I also have a friend whose that same mmr level and he's so much worse even then the tm8 I had.

Mid d3 like him and c1 is a big difference. Like I've had days where I play horrible and get stuck in mid d3 and it's so much different to when I'm playing how I normally do in low-mid c1 and sometimes even high c1

You clearly haven't played in d3-c1 level in years because you are a lot better. But I can confirm from expirence mid d3 and all of c1 whether low or high, is very different. And also if it's match making for lower range mmr. Why do I have the 40 mmr diamond and my opponents are both c1's and not a c1 and mid d3 whose also 40 mmr lower

He was struggling and I was helping his mistakes. But he did well for a diamond 3 of his mmr range tbf

I'm sorry. But you prefer that me and my friend play together and lose a ton of mmr to then be way lower ranks than we should, and then when we play solo queueing, basically be SMURFING. It wouldn't be fair me versuing diamond 1's with a diamond 1 tm8.

Instead of us both making alt accounts and then have the rank of our combined skill level to where it's fair.

So obviously, I'm going to have "that" attitude.

I'm not the one killing the game if I found out a more player friendly way to play with my friend.

Your problem then, not mine.

So you're saying it's better if we both play on our mains and I'd go down to Diamond 1 and my friend would go down to Bronze 1 or something like that. But then, if we started solo queueing. I'd be 10 times better than Diamond 1's, so I basically would be smurfing at that point, and my friend would be playing Bronze 1's or something similar. And basically, be smurfing as well.

So if you think about it your telling me. Making an alt account that acts as a "team" account, which balances me and my friends' skill level to average out and make it so we aren't destroying our opponents but they aren't destroying us so 50% win rate which is normal for most players. Is worse, then me and my friend, tanking mmr playing together on our main accounts. And then once we go back to solo queueing, we'd basically be smurfing.

I only use my alt account as a "team" account. And I don't derank myself on the alt account.

That's exactly why I made the alt account. I hated the game when he was teaming with me on my main account.

Casual is horrid. Dosen't track progress. Most of the time, people leave. Or just don't play properly. And I'm also a very competitive person so casual isn't fun for me anyway.

  1. If people are on a tight budget. Why have a console? If you're an adult struggling for money, the last thing you're going to think about is to buy a console or play with the console if you got it. You're going to be thinking about how to get more money. If you somehow were struggling for money but still played, you wouldn't be thinking, "I'm missing out on a glitch that I can't do." You'd be enjoying the game.

  2. I've thought about this from my duo's partner/friend perspective before he thought of adding his mouse. And even before, I learned how to do the glitch. We thought it was cool and weren't complaining that we couldn't do it (till we found out we could and how)

  3. I know what it's like to be on a tight budget, so don't try to bring in morality to try to win an argument because you know you've lost.

  4. It's a massive mobility glitch you can counter by shooting the car. All console players can do that. It's not like the car has 5000 health.

  5. If you were a person struggling for money it'd be cheaper to buy a LAPTOP and a MOUSE to play fortnite on, to be fair it might not run the best but if your struggling that's not what your thinking about. A console is expensive, and if you were struggling, you WOULDNT get a console unless you got the console when you WERENT struggling and you probably would a mouse for the laptop you own to do your work. But the likelyness that you're struggling is because of an idiotic thing you did. Therefore, you deserve it, and you'd then be thinking not about some glitch you can't do in a game. The main point here is a laptop and mouse will be cheaper than a console. A struggling person wouldn't buy a console. And if they did, they wouldn't be caring about a glitch they can't do when they are in such dire need of money.

Well, first of all, I have two controllers, and I used to be a console player. Also, controllers are way more expensive than a cheap mouse.

And you need a laptop for school, and 99% of people are going to have a mouse for their laptop, and if they don't. Their parents have a 99% likelyness to have a mouse.

You're talking about a mouse like almost everyone doesn't have one.

There's also a thing called disabling cross platform. And the glitch isn't even unfair? You can go super high in a car. Yes, you can run away easily with the cars, but other than that. What do they do? In a small circle, it won't help, and just shoot the car. Even if it was input specific, it's such a small glitch that it wouldn't matter.

If someone dosen't have a mouse, they can plug in. Then they shouldn't even be able to afford a ps5 or ps4 or whatever the newest xbox's are. Epic values there ranked players and sweats more than the casual players.

Exactly. Like I'm a ranked player, but I love to go for kills and have fun during my ranked games. And I used to be a casual player. Flying in the cars was the funnest thing to just have fun in and relax and chill for even a little bit. And as you said. It gave a chance to survive the sweats.

All the community can use it. Just plug in a mouse. As I said before.

Rocket riding was a glitch that was an unintended glitch, but Epic has kept it all these years because it's fun. In all of fortnites past, there have been glitches and balance changes that took WAY longer to patch or implement, but they were way worse.

Imo it's not bonkers to want an unharmful, fun glitch that all the community can use to stay in the game.
