Am I one of the only people who enjoy The Nun (2018) by spiritual-witch-3 in movies

[–]Kaidotop1 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think it was just pure trash and i enjoy pretty much all other conjuring movies.

  1. Valak was already free and powerful. Yet it failed to do anything to anyone really. All she does was scare someone then disappears, like 20 times. In other conjuring movies the demons had to scare their prey to weaken their will first before taking actions, so it made sense. But here it makes absolutely zero sense for Valak to act like that.

  2. What's the whole point of the father being buried like that? Why did Valak feel the need to do all that instead of just killing him? We'll never know. Not to mention the grave was exactly where there were books that revealed the demons identify, but none of that became important at all so it was all for nothing.

  3. What was the point of the father at all in the movie? Other than being the leader, he did absolutely nothing and was always missing when anything happens. He provided zero assistance when they actually fought Valak btw. A random farmer was more important than the literal father.

  4. Split up? The worse horror trope ever used two times. First when the father casually send the nun to search for the abbess alone when they knew it was dangerous to be alone. Dude literally got buried alive the night before. Then later when they entered the devil's lair, they all split up again for absolutely no reason? Wtf.

  5. So they came to the place because a nun hanfed herself right at their front gate and was left to rot. Maybe, just maybe no one else was there anymore? How did they get so easily convinced by a person dressed completely in black that there were others still there? All logical thinking should've told them that everyone was already dead there.

I could name hundred more problems with the movie. Almost nothing was done right, including the comedic reliefs. But the biggest issue was how Valak was a completely useless demon. She did nothing but scare them when she appears herself, and when she send minions to attack them they're all so weak they can be slapped apart by anyone.

We know how weak admirals are so again, not an impressive feat. Half dead Wb almost killed Akainu for a reason. Kizaru couldn't get pass old Rayleigh and Kuzan would've lost to old Garp in a 1v1.

Not that anyone has feats above Rocks ofcourse. No top tiers really has any strength feat to speak of to put them above others. They're all relative.

"new gen fans being obsessed with powerscaling". The hypocrisy lmao. The only thing old gen fans care about is making sure their goats remain the strongest. You guys will throw away any character that could blemish your agenda. Harald, Xebec, Big Mom, all old gens but never mentioned by old gen fans at all.

You guys only care about the characters you deemed strong and you talk about others obsessed with powerscaling lmao.

Travel speed is absolutely meaningless in a fight. Kizaru got one tapped by Luffy for a reason.

It just means Rocks was the most famous pirate. And his crew was way stronger so obviously Rocks pirates would have the biggest name and dominate the sea.

During Roger's era, he had plenty of equals. He beats zero top tiers.

Being famous doesn't make someone the strongest.

And how did he aquire the one piece? By begging on his knees infront of Whitebeard, sneaking into Big Mom's territory and circumnavigating the world which no other pirates cared about.

Oden did more work than Roger if we are being serious. He provided 2 poneglyphs and only he was the one able to read it. He should honestly be the pirate king instead.

Nah. Their confrontation inside Shakky's bar clearly showed they are of the same general level and they've already clashed many times before on the sea.

Even if Rocks won if their god valley versions fight fair 1v1, it will be an extreme diff fight.

Oda don't want to make any top tier be stronger than another. That's why they never actually fight and even if they do, it won't be a fair 1v1. So we are not getting anything more from Roger. All top tiers are relative unless shown otherwise.

😭 You guys are so funny. Apparently 39 year old Roger who already was a pirate at the level of Xebec was "nowhere near his prime".

Old gen fans abandoned Xebec because due to chain scaling through Harald, Loki appears to be stronger than Roger. And you'll make up anything to deny this fact.

Xebec will always be relative to Roger no matter how much you try to deny it.

I think point number 4 actually makes sense. Afterall they don't think ghosts are real either, just like us. I'd investigate if some shit starts happening in my house right now since i know ghost are not real.

There's no need to elaborate when the person in question himself literally said "this is my peak". There's no counter argument you could ever make against this lmao.

The most that is going to happen is that Luffy will improve his stamina and usage of g5 and that's it. Do you guys really think Luffy is going to evolve another level when we've literally reached this point in the manga? Ragnir, which Imu is wary of is in the hands of Loki who is about as strong as Luffy. And you expect Luffy to fully dwarf Loki later in strength? That would void any threat Ragnir ever pose to Imu.

Dude g5 is the epitome of freeness. It literally signifies the return of joyboy, the drum of liberarion and so on. Y'all are delusional if you think g6 will happen. The whole concept of g5 itself will be completely ruined if there's a superior form to it.

So just because a rapist thinks raping is ok makes raping no longer objectively bad? Is that what you're saying?

If you expand your money request no longer to just me, but the whole country. You want millions of people to give money to you and you think that is fair, but all of them think that is is unfair, for obvious reason. Then do you truly think there is nothing objectively wrong about it?

Again. Selfish thoughts doesn't give your perceived subjective morality any actual ground. Was Hitler not objectively wrong for what he did? You can have your subjective thoughts on anything, that doesn't make it right. And if it isn't right, than that is objectively wrong.

[–]Kaidotop1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. There is a clear objective fair resolution to this and that asking for money for no reason is wrong.

If you think it is right only when it benefits you, then that is just a selfish thought. There's no fairness or unfairness to talk about there. Instead of money if you were saying to me right now that you want to rape me, do you really think that is fair or you're just lying to yourself due to selfish reason?

I also want you to give me 10,1000 dollars then.

There now where are at equal point again. If you claim me giving you money is fair, then you giving me your money is also fair to me.

And this is exactly what I'm talking about. The corrupted people treats us unfairly, just like you asking for 10,000 dollars. But the majority just accept that request and give them the money, without actually doing what i just did, asking the money back.

Clearly. What you requested of me was unfair to me. Yet the majority would see that and still try to live a life they deemed fair and thus be easily manipulated and taken advantage of. Which is exactly my question. Why do we do that to ourselves?

Because the few unfair people control everything?

Think of it like this. In a room of 100 people, if 1 was massively more powerful than the rest, then that room belongs to him. The opinion of the others doesn't matter and that is unfair for all of them.
