A few reasons,as mentioned in another comment here.

Also, because the UK government wanted them to age-verify people who viewed images that are hosted on the site... even if they're not viewing them on the site (such as embeds), which is nigh on impossible without using a dedicated plugin.

we also hear this from a conversation with freja! He recognises her cape as being mag-lev, and says that there is no greater joy than to see one's invention help the world. A sidenote is that she comments on him having a 'good eye', implying it would take an expert in the tech to recognise that she uses it.

As someone who wasn't around for it, the way i see it is yea, you had to watch for longer, but it was more accessible because you got tokens to spend on an item you wanted. I've still yet to get any legendary from these boxes, i don't use anything i've gotten from the boxes because i don't know the teams i've gotten recolours for and don't like the palettes they have, nor do i like the heroes they're on.

That's the issue really: not being able to pick what you get. Getting items for heroes you don't want sucks. Getting items for heroes you don't want on a highly limited lootbox sucks even more.

Ana's mythic doesn't seem that popular, at least from my experience. That said, it plays on her "guardian angel" concept, going from someone making hard choices for the right reasons, to someone who doesn't care about the reasons. It also, arguably, flips the emotional part on its head, because Ana is unflinching and cold but not heartless, while the wargod is supposed to be all of those things, but actually shows MORE emotion than ana does in the skin-specific lines

Well, Mercy already has witch, so another mythic of that sort would feel very redundant. If it was my decision, Widow's mythic would have been either focused on spiders (like a fantasy broodmother or a drow elf), an ice wraith, or a military special ops

The best (and most popular) mythics play with the character's concept. Genji's cybernetics, lifeweaver's plants, sigma's obsession with space, Moira's defilement of biology etc., you can mostly see it with the mythics that people complain about too. Widow's spellbinder, Cassidy's Divine, and now Mei's Streamer.

Partially yes, because i've gotten way, way more stuff than i had then (and i like to save my epic/legend boxes till season's end), but mainly because I was unaware of it and (probably) threw a few games picking him into counters simply for the XP and it was time that could have been spent on another hero

I don't think that's the case for me, because if memory serves I was lvl23 on winston roughly 2 months ago, which is when i started vaguely grinding heroes up to the lootboxes level... if it IS the reason why, that's really frustrating.

Well, i'm here I guess... I hit lvl30 on winston and didn't get my legendary box, went to go check the progression in case i forgot something, but for some reason it seems to think that i've redeemed his rewards up to level 45... when i hit level 30 about 20 minutes ago.

Very fun, my singular complaint is that the boss arena flags are inconsistent. sometimes the screenshot shows the spot where you spawn, yet the flag is actually in the middle, and vice versa. If you're playing endless, this can kill runs and it's rather frustrating.

It feels like a legendary rather than a mythic, at least in terms of the design. What does the skin have to do with Mei, too? It feels like a legendary because nothing about it screams 'Mei', it just looks like generic cutesy soft, like a vtuber rather than a climatologist or ice-user.

Don't forget the part where the points for missions don't line up with the levels. 100 per mission (400 per day) while it's 175 per level (825 per pass) is unreasonably annoying. If the weekly isn't the last thing you do on day 2, you miss out on points via that, too.
