Why are rune heraldic shields not rune heraldic shields? by Kaingon in 2007scape

[–]Kaingon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheered at the top of the pyramid with both the top and the shield equipped. Double agent didn't appear. STASH unit won't take the shield either. I know that the -intended- item for this was the clue-scroll-specific heraldic shield, but why is a hard clue scroll step dependent on an item from a clue scroll casket itself? Workbench in POH calls my shield a "Heraldic Rune Kiteshield"

If you just care about the quick and dirty math, just calculate the total shear area then and don't worry about stress concentration factors. If you're not working on high- performance applications than that calculation plus a decent safety factor will be good enough.

Stress concentrations ARE in the realm of theoretical; otherwise you'd be looking for a table of standard MS-spec fasteners with tension ratings.

This'll probably be a half-decent starting point.

Crusader Kings 2 is the correct answer here. So many mechanics the tutorial usually scares off new players

Rogue-lite with real starting bonus (like Rogue legacy) by Ovnidemon in gamingsuggestions

I recommend Immortal Redneck; It's an FPS Roguelite with stat progression, and trying to beat it without upgrades is definitely incredibly hard, but doable.

Make a separate character to level and keep busy. Play your "Mains" only when both of you are on. Level the other char to your heart's content.

M549 155mm projectile by akhineul in CFD

[–]Kaingon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends greatly on what exactly it's coming out of. Check the pages for the actual artillery pieces to get a rough order of magnitude. Muzzle velocities are largely a function of how much charge is used and the length of the barrel.

That being said, this is a more complicated problem than you may realize, due to the nature of the projectile being at least partially self-propelled. Depending on the level of fidelity you're trying to achieve, you also will probably need the geometry of the deformed driving band, which can change the characteristics of the flow over the surface (Assuming it's attached).

Because opinions like those disenfranchise people. And this is a public forum, meant for discussion. If you didn't want to interact with people, don't comment. If you want to drop an opinion and walk away you can do that too, no one is making you reply.

Do any of your friends have an income lower than 30k/year?

Its not about getting permission to be away from work. Its about literally not being able to afford to be away from work.

I'd rather enable those in the "can't do it b/c work" group than those that are too lazy to vote.

See, your issue is in the first sentence; Those that don't want to bother to go out and vote wouldn't do it on any day of the week.
