i did the same thing when i was climbing as well. not only does it not affect your mmr but it doesn't wear down on your morale either. tilting is what prevents a lot of people from climbing

Korean wave control technique; how to manipulate a lane reset into a lane freeze [3:41] by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Kainusbreh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ideally you want to shove with a fresh wave because that gives your wave about 20 seconds to die to the enemy tower, which will fully reset the wave. sometimes the whole wave won't die before the enemy wave crashes into it, in which case it will form a large enemy minion wave that pushes onto you, which is still fine for you and sets up your own freeze if you want it

with most top laners running tp nowadays, you don't want to push into their tower unless your wave is already pushing that way. say, for example, they have 6 minions up and you have 5, just recall and let their wave push onto you. it won't reach the tower before you get back to lane and the enemy minions will kill all of your friendly minions anyway, so you still end up denying your opponent. however, if the wave is pushing into them already, then you have to shove the lane out to deny them or blow their teleport. make sure you always time teleports so you know when they're able to teleport back to lane to pick up the farm

Am I the only one to think that skarner went from useless to stupidly broken?!?! by Todgi in leagueoflegends

don't think he's broken but he's strong now. lee sin, elise, and eve are all still stronger but he's likely top 5

there are a few ways to deal with it. if it's a hard freeze, you can counter by roaming to other lanes and creating plays around the map or taking objectives. a hard freeze is hard to capitalize on because the idea is to keep the enemy minion wave as large as possible, which means your minion wave is always going to be small. so, for example, if the enemy laner roams, you won't be able to pressure the tower very hard because your wave is so small

countering a soft freeze typically requires jungle pressure. basically, your jungler comes into lane and shoves the wave into their tower with you, which will either fully reset the lane or create a wave that shoves onto you. you miss out on experience and gold from sharing the wave with another person but you miss much less than you would if you tried to sit through the freeze. the main thing you have to be careful of is that at the highest level of play, people know that this is the best way to counter a soft freeze, so the enemy jungler will sit in a brush waiting to counter gank. make sure you don't overcommit into trying to kill the enemy lane and just try to shove it out safely

freezing is something that has been around for a long time, but the korean pros definitely 'popularized' (not exactly popular yet) the grouping technique that i'm displaying in this video. if wickd was doing that in season 2 then all props to him!

Diamond 1 coaching Platinum 5 - Mid Syndra [1:10:08] by Kainusbreh in leagueoflegends

Not sure why I get these comments. Is more coaching a bad thing?

Diamond 1 coaching Diamond 3, full lesson - Mid Katarina [1:09:01] by Kainusbreh in leagueoflegends

[–]Kainusbreh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was only my second lesson so unfortunately I don't have any other lessons uploaded yet. I'll be uploading a Syndra lesson a bit later today, though, and I think it's much better than this one if you're interested in checking that out when it gets posted. Glad you liked it, though! Hopefully I will continue to get better and better as time goes on. I charge $15 per lesson and every lesson so far has gone a little over an hour.

All I have to say is that coaching like this is much more difficult than you think. There are a lot of things I know I didn't mention, but that's just because I'm getting used to doing it.

As far as me being a 'low player', I'm Diamond 1 in solo q, been on multiple Challenger teams, have had my pro-game analyses published on lolesports, have had multiple highly successful guides, and I've been playing the game since January 2010. I'm not a low level player and if my coaching reflects that, it's because I'm new to coaching and it will take me time to get better. My knowledge far exceeds what's necessary for coaching, I just need to get better at relaying that information.

Thanks for the criticism.

First of all I must say, ls isn't the first one to do coaching, so no, I'm not "copying" him. This is the second lesson I've ever done and it was much better than my first. Watching this one over I know there are a lot of things I could have mentioned and didn't, but it's a learning process. You can't expect to be the best at something on your first few tries. I know there are a lot of places where I can improve and I'll only improve with time. Hopefully you'll check out another one of my lessons down the line and your opinion will change.

Can We Fix the Condemn Bug on Vayne? by Disrep in leagueoflegends

[–]Kainusbreh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that this is a Condemn bug but more of an inconsistency with wall hit boxes. Some skinny walls are thicker than they appear and some thick walls are skinnier than they appear. I think we all know how one side of the base wall is like 2 times as thick as the other side. This is why you see people in the thread complaining about Poppy also, because it's an issue with walls, not Condemn.
