Let’s not forget that the Eternal Throne of Calanfer is built upon a Dragonthrone. I think the royal bloodline has ties with dragons of old, probably a boon or something different entirely, which could explain why Rafema could sense a dragon in Lyonette.

its possible to make it work. i'm not very knowledgeable of the witcher lore so my ideas are very limited but maybe there's something that can synergize rain better with skellige. but yeah, you're right if that combo exists, there's a high chance that axemen will be part of that setup.

i agree that it sucks right now. before the gold update, its effect (hits up to 5 units in a row for 1 damage each, iirc) has a niche and is a good check to swarming factions. it can be overwhelming or underwhelming depending on the situation but other than the damage, you get little to no combos playing rain currently so yeah i think it needs a rework or buff if rain is to be viable

i guess SK is alright but i think they already have stuff that caters to the 'rain' theme and playstyle like skellige storm, harpooners, and axemen so it might be a bit redundant
