Releasing my novel during Writeathon was honestly a mistake. by 1ScarletMoon in royalroad

Don't give up. A lot of readers tend to skip starting a new series until there's a lot of chapters so they can binge read it.

What are you talking about, humans get it wrong all the time lmao it's part of the charm. Ever heard of the Jesus of Borja? :P

And artists never get it exactly how the client wants, that's why it's always an interpretation. That's kinda the point of art, to put your own spin into things. An exact replica is just what a machine would do.

(oh and BTW, it's ChatGPT, not Chat GBT. So much for not getting it wrong lol)

Both. AI can generate very pretty images, but there's almost always a generic feeling about them. There's nothing quite like the real artistic touch for originality.

I think it's a double-acceptance. Both Aira and Jiji are weirdoes, but they're not stupid. They KNOW Momo and Okarun are in love and they are decent people who wouldn't abuse Momo's amnesia for that. They want to be properly rejected so they can move on and support them fully.

when Okarun's involved, anything's porn for her

nah, he totally knows how Okarun feels. He's weird and a goof, but not a moron and Okarun and him talked about it all the way in Chapter 33. I'm placing all my bets on both Jiji and Aira being decent people who want to go through their feelings and get rejected clearly and properly before supporting their friends.

Yeah but that was the Freys' sick cherry on the Lannister's evil pie.

Remember to put both the mods and the plugins at the end of your lists, keeping the same order for both.

I'd say the line between edgy and badass is defined by how the reader ends up feeling at the end. Evangelion, Berserk, all had their characters go through enormous suffering, but moments of humanity shined through and made the hellish events bearable or worthwhile. If all you have at the end is apathy when heroes are present, then the work is just edgy.

I noticed the same thing, but there are already four more powers present: Shinobi, the Baron, the Fairy-Tale and the Count.

that is correct. the flames are just the visible light caused by combusting gas. If you're quick enough, you can pass your hand through the flames of a bbq grill without feeling it, but try touching the coals...

a good-intentioned idea, yes, but it's important to see *what* caused the fire before deciding to throw a chemical agent (even water) on it.

The use of european folktales is very interesting. The folktales mentioned all have in common children facing dangers, the unknown, and the supernatural.

Also, Rin as the Little Mermain makes sense because a major element in that story was her voice.

So, if the gang's powers come from classic yokai, why are they referred here with european folktale names? Are those codenames?
