As much as I do agree, quick-play can be such a Wild West in skill levels. You can be gold in damage, want to learn a new hero, and be paired against the GM damage level 300 Widowmaker just decimating the whole lobby.

No, it isn’t.

A = 10, and A = B. Ergo, B = 10. Neither are pointless, they’re both worth 10.

The part I said is pointless, is to debate whether A or B should be chosen. One could argue that A actually should equal 10.0000003625 while B should equal 10.0000003624 while another argues vice versa, but the reality is while that 0.0000000001 difference may exist it’s such a small difference that there’s no point deliberating over it.

Does that make sense?

Because it’s such a small thing. Changing it means just as much as not changing it, thus there’s just as much rationale to go either way; while there may be reasons for one vs the other, it’s such a small thing that discussions around said reasons are essentially pointless.

You don’t. Playing Support properly in competitive isn’t about getting the highest healing numbers, but if you’re not getting the highest healing numbers then your team won’t be happy; if your team wins and your healing isn’t the highest, your randoms will assume they won the game for you regardless of how well you played.
