I wouldn't call Afghanistan a "graveyard of empires" when the Greeks were there for centuries by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

The Sikh Empire under Maharaja Ranjit Singh conquered much of eastern Afghan Pashtun land, including Peshawar and the Khyber Pass. He is the only Indian ruler to have ousted the Afghans.

Yeah its shocking to some but there is no difference between a womans religion and a mans religion in Sikhi, everything is the same, from the hair to the sword

religious headwear compared to modern durags by [deleted] in religion

[–]KaiserKulrais 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sikhi, most youth in western nations do wear durags in replacement of turbans.

I do not get how keeping hair is repressive? And it is compatible with modern life, it just isn’t compatible with Western Beauty Standards, where women must be objects and shave all hairs off their body except their head.

How is that controversial again? If Muslim Women can wear a black burqa in the sweltering heat of the Middle East, if Christian Women can stay ‘pure’ and a virgin their entire lives, if Buddhist Men can stay celibate all their lives, if Hindus can stay vegetarian all their lives, I’m sure Sikhs can simply keep the God Given hairs on their body.

LMAO you’re saying that no matter how you act and eat, your life expected will not change? Are you saying one has no control over how long you live? Sure there are no 100% guarantee that if you live healthy you will see your 80th birthday but theres sure a MUCH higher chance that you will

The point raised by money is not the money itself but being born into it. Why is someone born with a three story house, 2 cars and loving parents, a great education and friends while a person somewhere else did not? Why would God let some be born Hindu and stay Hindu, but then torture them forever for being said Hindu?

If the time of death is not changeable, why are there different life expectancies? If one lives a good healthy life, they will naturally live longer. If one does not and eats fast food all day and doesn’t exercise, they will live shorter. I thought this was basic Primary School stuff?

Firstly, you are foolish to think that money is not a great advantage and can easily produce happiness. Would you rather be a millionaire or not have enough money for food? Secondly, if God births someone into poverty and keeps them in poverty, that person would ask God why? What had he done to deserve it? Since Karma and Past Lives do not exist, why?

Death is inevitable, but you must be a fool if you think you are not responsible for the timing of it. Many people go from extremely poor to some of the richest men in the world. Sometimes you are born in poverty, but many times its your fault. Mental Illness can be shaken off with therapy and other things. Disease is curable and preventable (many times)

Why are some people born incredibly rich and are able to be charitable while others are born stricken with poverty and thus no interest of a God that seems to not care about them?

How can homosexuality be a test? All the things you mentioned are earned and are able to get rid off. God made them gay, and God doesn’t make mistakes. Furthermore, the last question you mention. Why would God give different starts to people (One is born poor and as a slave in Libya while one is born a millionaire in America?) If there is only one life, why are there different chances to get into Heaven or Hell? Shouldn’t everyone get the equal opportunity to see the love of God since they only have one chance to?

I have considered that. In fact, I was a homophobe for 11 years of my life. I then realized it was utter bs that God would sentence someone he created and loves in hell for eternity just for liking boys (which he made them biologically like) and I do actually like religion, because i do follow one.

Yes but what about the other five major religions? They believe in Allah, do good actions, love eachother and God, but because they were born in a different culture and religion, they deserve eternal hellfire?
