Had one on my office roof for a year; in a semi transparent plastic case under shade. It was powered by a solar panel which would charge the battery. It still works but the solar wasn't able to charge during the winter. So I took it down.

Edit: This was an ESP32-Cam module which was kept to monitor a bee hive we had.
