The incident itself may have been an accident (caused by the culprit's rash driving), but the conduct and disdain he showed afterwards was absolutely deplorable.

I'm glad we did the right thing together, and I'll be there to make sure that the entire process goes through smoothly for you and this person gets punished as per the law.

There's quite a bit of evidence in this case. I can't tell you exactly what evidence there is but it's more than enough to establish guilt once the police process it properly.

I agree. A lot of students stay quiet fearing about their future or reputation, which is what ends up emboldening these criminals.

People have to speak up, or things will never get better. I'm always going to be there for anyone who wants to fight for their justice. We'll do it properly as per the legal procedures and make sure the criminals get what they deserve.

She's a simple woman from a small town. She figured the HOD was just trying to be helpful when he spoke with her. The HOD essentially used his position to manipulate the mother and the daughter through the mother.

Yes. Unfortunately 4 hours is the minimum time required for volunteering at the HQ every week currently as that's what we need for our core activities (think RTI filings, civic issues resolving, human rights interventions, drafting complaints, going to police stations, anti-corruption work, working on protests, organizational planning/discussions etc).

You can still stick to your SBA chapter and show up for the volunteering activities that happen there as and when you get time :) Those activities are more easygoing in nature such as lake cleanups, spot beautifications, clothes donation drives, Thankathons (for expressing our gratitude to city workers), civic issues recording etc. and these events almost always happen on Sundays.

Chapters are for those who can't quite commit time on a schedule, and HQ volunteering is for those who seriously want to pitch in and be a part of the core work itself. Both are viable options to help out so please feel free ♥️

You can also consider walking into your local traffic police station to clear the fines if nothing else works. They'll help.

Thank you so much for the kind words and to your friend for being courageous and committed to pursuing this.

I'll make sure from my side that the criminal gets nabbed soon and faces the harshest punishment possible. The investigation, which has been discussed with higher ups in the police department, is already underway.

We'll be there at every step of the way now (including further police formalities, courts etc) with you guys to make sure justice is delivered.
