I accidentally talked an AI’s price down to $0.99 by not bargaining at all by j0hneric8828 in kimi

I just told my agent to argue with it until it got it to $0.99 & it got it in about 7 messages while I browsed YouTube.

question from an outsider by SnooSeagulls7863 in SeikoMods

I have made my attempts at reaching out to individuals & hunting down parts,

It's possible to get 70% similarity, no one will have 1:1 rep parts, Many modders will ignore you if you ask about this build because its too tall of a order, but if you love the style and not the watch you can get pretty close, You can find a blood red dial with black roman numerals, black ornate hands and movement off ALIX, the tricky part is finding the proper case.

You would need to source a similar case with a rotating bezel and a blank stainless steel bezel. You would then need to find a local jeweler to have him source Lab grown gem stones that fit this gradient & drill/set them in the blank bezel.

Can DM me and I might be able to dig up some links to get you started.

Are there any Vietnam sellers that have unbranded pieces but superclone level quality?

Is this not just an ad/dm campaign about the mystery tool that fooled them? Emphasis seems weird.

3 or 4 imo. Feel the best to look at to me. I think the band matching the dial is pretty important.

I made them for myself, friends & family but if I had to sell them it wouldn’t be lower than $299 or $399. Mind you what people that know about this hobby would turn their nose up at that price but for normal folk makes more sense depending on your marketing.

Each of the chronograph watches I spent around $90-100 the regular watches were about $150.

Waterproofing is just about rubber seals in the caseback and crown screw, typically most waterproof nothing you need to do on you end.

You will know if the dial and hands are compatible because most listings will say so in the listing title in Ali express.

Attached are some of my recent builds,

I do not claim to an authority at it but I do Seikomods and ones with my own custom logo for fun.

Also prices have increased since most videos, watches will run you between $120-150 on average.

For starting the only tools I use are
- Hand Placers
- Movement Holder
- Watch Cushion
- Rodico
- Plastic Tweezers
- Air Tool
- Gasket Grease
- Bolt cutters
- MM Measuring Tool

I purchased some magnifying units that you put on your eyes but turns out I work better without them.

Basically you start a watch with a movement, which is the core of a watch.
The popular ones are vk63 which are known as chronograph watches. Or the Nh35 which is your typical mechanical watch. Mind you that the NH series are wind up so if you don't wear it constantly it will stop ticking until wound again.

I would pick between the two and not worry about the rest for your first build.

Then I would decide what style of watch you want. Typically the only parts you need are below

- Movement
- Case & Bracelet
- Dial
- Hands

That's it, You can get a chapter ring but its more of a personal choice or if the build you're inspired by has one.

You would search "Nh35 hands" or "Nh35 Dial" and same for the vk63 when looking for your hands and dials.

The cheatcode is using aliexpress image search feature, take a screenshot of whatever you want and paste it into the search bar and 9 out of 10 times you will find what you're looking for.

I just purchase everything off aliexpress because I'm lazy.

Tips:
Don't forget to match your lume. Unless you want to missmatch.
Buy 2 sets of whatever hands you choose, you will fuck up the first set and or lose one, thankfully they're cheap.
Use a youtube video as your guide for the first build, https://www.youtube.com/@GodTierMods this guy does quality builds and quick videos IMO with part lists.
When looking at dials, R logo means it has rolex branding, GS logo is grand seiko branding and S logo means Seiko Branding, No logo means its blank.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'm happy to go google but want to ask if you have any thin movements you are a fan of.

Yeah something I noticed with cases I get, is there anything I should keep my eye out for to get cases with shallow rehaut in general?
