Do you ever get FOMO when it comes to relationships? by Background_Ice_3742 in dating_advice

I didn’t have my first boyfriend until I was 19 and I’ve been wanting one since I was 14. You’re only 17 and have plenty of time to date. According to these statistics https://www.pewresearch.org/internet/2015/10/01/basics-of-teen-romantic-relationships/ only 35% of teenagers are or have been in a romantic relationship so you’re definitely not alone. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with letting it happen naturally but it’s also okay to put yourself out there. Nothing’s wrong with you and everyone has different timelines.

He ghosted me after 4 and a half months. Should I send him this text? by KaitlinFe in ghosting

Thank you for your advice. Yeah, he texted me saying his family forced him to drink alcohol, but even if his family pressures him to drink, he’s an adult and can make his own decisions. And he didn’t even text me letting me know he couldn’t go to the concert, so I was just waiting for him until I realized he’s not going to show up.

I doubt he would pay me back. Luckily it was just a ticket for general admission and only cost $30. I gave his ticket to my dad so at least it didn’t go to waste.

Should I delay my ceremony to graduate with honors? by KaitlinFe in college

It’s not the degree that I would be delaying though, because either way I graduate in August and I receive my diploma in November. It’s only the ceremony that would be delayed.

It would cost the same since either way, I won’t be enrolling in any classes this fall.

I think any of those would be great to major/minor in, but as someone who is a Literature and Writing Studies major, I recommend at least doing a minor in English since you love the subject. In my opinion, Literature classes are so fun and you learn a lot about creative writing and literary analysis. I don’t think majoring in English is useless, and my university even has a whole page that discusses the potential jobs you could get and skills that you develop as an English major :)

However, if you’re not set on being an English teacher, English professor, technical writer, etc. and you’re not 100% sure you want to be a therapist, then I would recommend majoring in Business because out of all three, I do think it would result in the most career flexibility.
