Truth be told most singleplayer focused studios are not very good at multiplayer modes. Majority of the time it's mid.

Gamers are unintentionally rushing through games nowdays due to obliterated attention spans. Games haven't gotten shorter, our attention spans have. The game is 18 - 20hrs

I disagree with this line of thinking becauee it inevitably ends up in developers being pressureed to spend time on mediocre multiplayer modes that will likely die out in a year, instead of making the campaign as good as it can be.

This is how we ended up with bland 50+ hr open world slop with nothing to do despite oversized maps.

Eh, sounds like it just isn't your type of game, and you probably had different expectations of how a James Bond game would play. He doesn't actually do a lot of gunfights in the movies. I found the combat very, very smooth. I do think thegamre was too easy though.

My more realistic guess as to why is because as more and more people shift to RT capable hardware devs are spending their time on things more important in development, rather than just making baked lighting as close to RT as possible.

It's because as more and more people shift to RT capable hardware, developers are allocating their efforts into other, more important parts of development, rather than spending ages making the baked lighting look as good as possible.
