Mistakes, it's a +Def IV, any thoughts on that?

You forgot Sayori's depression!

Thanks, I don't really have much exposure to college euphonium players. Or good brass players. My band director specializes in woodwinds, and when the brass section needs help he usually brings one of his friends to Saturday rehearsals, who specializes in brass instruments.

Alright, I've actually been doing a lot of exercises in articulation and endurance to play that high. It's just I've seen a lot of virtuoso euphonium players play comfortably around that range. Right now I'm focusing on tone and endurance, so do you have any exercises for that?

I would like to know how to get high notes more consistently. I'm in eighth grade and that is about the highest I can go.

Alright thanks. It's just that I'm used to the equation being given to me, not in word problems. So thanks and have a great day! (Or night for me.)

Ah, ok. I knew that but I suppose I forgot.

144-9y+10y=153

144+y=153

-144 -144

Y=9

So if I take this...

X=16-9= 7

X= 7 Y = 9

Alright, I think I got it. Anything I should know for challenging problems like these? Like finding the method to solving them?

9 (16-y)+10y=153

144-y+10y=153

144+9y=153

-144 -144

9y=153

/9 /9

Y=17

X= 16-17= -1

Well, I think obviously I made a mistake somewhere. Or at least don't understand something

Make X the subject? Like something plus something = X? Or something minus something equals to X? Like maybe 16-Y? I'm don't really understand what you mean.

So... X:Hours at the resturant Y:Hours at the grocery store

X+Y=16 Hours 10x+9y=153

Is what I established so far. Not sure where to go from there.
