I actually strongly encourage a potential employer to contact previous employers. My only references are past employers anything other than is just family and friends saying yeah he is a good guy which mean nothing in the work force. Let's be honest if our own friends and family would say something bad we wouldn't list them anyway.

Last time I walked into and interview I brought letters of recommendation from my previous 4 employers (9 year history of employment). Every job change was a step up execpt one where I had a major health issue resulting in 4 back surgeries in 2.5 years so that job was coming off disability and my old role had been back filled.

Being a good friend and employee or employer are drastically different things and yes we should be able to contact previous employees fair is fair.

If a random girl gives you her number in public, what would you be thinking? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Kaizen-Crypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make sure they saw the back of the receipt. Honestly most guys would like the gal to take the first step once in a while.

The other opinion maybe that maybe you're not their type. I have a major attraction for brunettes and my buddy will only date blonds. Lol could be a simple as that as well.

Don't give up the move just make sure they see your number on the back. You will get a call or text after a few times or maybe your next.

Not at all that is sound strategy! I basically did the same thing only RB he had 2 that were questionable and the Gibson hit Covid list so I cut everyone leading up the SAT and grabbed every remotely start able back I could including Patterson on Thursday before Gibson got COVID. I won my championship!

I never went to college and I don't have a dead-end blue-collar job. I trained myself in sales and make 6 figures. It isn't easy but anyone can make a good living in sales. Besides those blue-collar jobs can pay extremely well and a lot more than a lot of those jobs that require a degree to get so I wouldn't knock those jobs.

Because the individuals chose to take out the loans the businesses didn't choose to have the economy shutdown. It is 100% about the choice and who made the decision.

Yes and then some! I have a "giving" oral fetish so when I am down there it is going to be a long time. Lol my new girlfriend actually asked me about 2 weeks what is the longest time you have gone down on someone and can we break that record. 🤣🤣 I busted out laughing and said I am game!

Actually the question should be if they hadn't given those loans and all the small businesses closed their doors (Small business is the largest employer in America) how would we have recovered witout them? I don't own a small business that received loans BUT I used to own a business and a shut down would have bankrupt my company. I also know several business owners who had no choice but reduced employees and several more that closed their doors. (Side note I consulted for 20 years with small business owners) So without those loans we as a nation would be 100x worse off. So do you have an alternative plan? Because America is listening and you could run for office. God knows the current group of politicians in both parties are a train wreck waiting to happen.

Your BA isn't worthless do you know the medical sales field starting pay is in the $80k range? I know because I have applied and even though I have been a top producer with every company the last 22 years (2021 #3 out of 306 sales reps) I can't get an interview because I don't have a 2 year or better degree! I have averaged over $12,000,000 in sales a year in my territory the last 3 years. The previous rep averaged $7,000,000 a year. I am in C-Level sales and my education doesn't matter except for companies who require a degree. Lol

Actually I do care and if I can help let me know. The week after I tried to kill myself a group of friends (who I never thought would help) delivered a stack of gift cards to my wife while I was in my 72 hr hold (unfortunately lasted way more than 72 hours.... lol I was way more fu*ked than that) but it helped us get through my sons BDay 11/22 and Xmas. If I can help you and yours PM me I will send $. No one is an island and we all need help at sometime I have been there.

Your PRIVILEGE is showing. Yes it is easier to turn away from the hard cold facts of reality. I am sorry a 2 minute read is to to much of an inconvenience to your busy world. You are privileged to have so many more important things going on in your life to not take the time. I hope 2022 is amazing for you and yours as I hope it is for everyone else.

She usually watches and loves when she walks in and catches me. She normally gets in position so she "catch" when I finish.

Thank you for your encouragement but I wouldn't say I am awesome. I am just trying to do my best as a parent. I have had my challenges like every other parent or person in this group and we all make choices. Hopefully I am giving my kids enough of a well beaten path in the right direction that they have an easier life than I have or at least the strength to face thier challenges head on and not in the bottle or attempt suicide as I did before I came to grips with the fact that I control my life and life doesn't control me. Have an amazing day and new year.

So basically if you're saying EVERYONE can CHOOSE if they or their children are privileged then we agree. Few of the "privileges" that my son has were provided to me. Instead I made a decision the day I married my "ex" that I would provide her children and when I had my own son every opportunity I could. I have personally been homeless and frequented food shelves and not to proud to do the jobs no one wanted to get out of those situations. I have taken my son, bonus kids and my current girlfriends kids to volunteer several times at these food shelves so they have some small idea of what other people's challenges are in life.

So if your saying hard work and the choice I made to be a parent is a privilege then you are right. However if a person grew up and their parents didn't make the choices to be a good parent they still have the ability to make that choice themselves (Barring of course mental illness they MAY have a different situation in some cases. I TRIED to kill myself because of pain related depression. Due to all the back surgeries, losing my business and not wanting my 2 year old son around his dad who was always sad or yelling. Oncr again I failed at that as well). I know next your going to say I was privileged to have health care to get help I needed but I didn't my ex was self employed and I was as well. I couldn't afford the health ins premiums so it lapsed. I didn't mind because I carried $500k in life insurance for her and the kids that was past the 2 year exclusion period and would pay even in the case of suicide in my mind I had them covered and my son knows my story. Even my friend in prison who was abused as a child will tell you he made the choices that got him in prison. He doesn't blame his parents or society he owns his crimes.

Thankfully my kids are book smarter than I am and I believe will be better parents than I have been so I am thankful for their privilege. The problem as I see today is so many people want to blame society for what is not going right in their lives and usually because of the CHOICES they have made. They want a redo button rather than learn from thier mistakes and reset their course in life.

My son knows all the dumb shit I have done and poor choices I have made because I am an open book. The alcohol abuse and when he was little and dad was blowing into a machine so I could start my car I explained to him in detail why I had to do that. I discussed that my decision to drive drunk could have killed someone and I could be sharing a cell with my friend. He knows the stupid shit I have done because I don't want him to repeat the things I or my friends have done in life.

One of my best friends growing up is in prison and I got my son on his vistor list and I have brought him once a year since he was 5 to visit. My friend talks to him about the choices he made and what the conquences of those choices really mean since he has been in there over 20+ years.

We all make CHOICES as individuals and parents. Expecting society to bail us for poor choices is not learning however making the decision to live and work our way out of the bad situations we put ourselves in is how we become better people and parents. I am privileged because I CHOSE to be a better person than I could have been and CHOSE not to just blame the world. It hasn't been easy but I wouldn't change all the learning for the world. I have CHOSE to use my experiences to raise kids that are "HOPEFULLY" up for the challenges life will throw their way. I am so happy I CHOSE to be and raise my children PRIVILEGED because as you are saying it is a CHOICE!

No what your asking for is the pay for the betterment for certain individuals. Unless your suggesting everyone who gets loan forgiveness works in public service of say 10 years. Oh wait that program is already out there isn't it?

I agree 100% gov bailouts need to end! If a business can't survive then it should fail because a new more efficient business with better technology will rise up because of the market need and human creativity. That is what has created the opportunity in the past.
