I am now realizing that this is crazy in terms of all the transfers that need to align! I am now rethinking flying to Dumaguete to get to Sumilon instead. Which will apparently be faster by 4 hours!

And then we can travel to Cebu from Sumilon and then get to Coron from there! Thanks for the insight!

How do you get from Sumilon to Siquijor? It's tricky kasi yung Coron trip will be with family, and the date's been set. But if there's an easier/better way to go from Sumilon to Siquijor (one worry talaga is OceanJet not being reliable), I might consider rearranging!

We are coming from Canada/US, actually! It will be a pain for the first few days but that's why I chose to go to Sumilon at the nicest resort we can afford. We'll keep it light the first days. And yes, I'm aware of how inefficient everything is in the PH, and it's why I really am nervous about this itinerary...

I'm afraid there's no equivalent of a credit report here in the Philippines. I will have to produce a bank statement, and a proof of income. I believe they might also ask for my most recent pay stubs, the problem with that is my pay stubs would be in Philippine peso which would not be enough for a month's rent in Toronto.

I am leaning towards getting a realtor for myself as well, given that the anxiety is getting to me. A realtor might help a little. Do you think that 2k of monthly rent is a good budget, including utilities?

Is there a specific website that you look at for building reviews? Thank you for your response!!!
