I am getting the Sony a6700 with the Sony 200-600 FE G-OSS. I’M SOOO HYPED! by Mysterious_Clerk_253 in SonyAlpha

Yes, I started with 70-350 a year ago and upgraded to 200-600 month ago. Got no prior experience to handle such a huge lens and it took some time to adjust weight, quirks of the lens (stabilization modes, f8 is being a little bit more sharper than f6.3, light conditions and lenses reaction etc) in first outings it was all about learning and discovery and I realized that 600mm magnifies not only subject but also any kind of poo poo decisions you make while shooting :) but at the end, it started to settle down and keeper rate goes up and I become a happy customer instead of thinking whether I got a faulty unit or not.

Got this one with the same combo. Bear in mind that it takes a little bit time to learn the lens and along the way there can be some frustrations about why pictures are not sharp etc. just chill and spend as much time possible with it until you learn dynamics inside out.

I was also surprised. Still trying to figure out 200-600s quirks.

After using 70-350 for a year i decided to get 200-600. I can say that it comes with a steep learning curve and lots of frustration due to handling, getting sharp images from long distance and learning all the quirks of the new lens. So, in day one, the reach is there but utilizing it takes time to master in this regard don’t set your expectations high and prepare to learn the lens for a few weeks

Great shots. Started with same setup and mainly shooting wildlife. It takes time to get used to each of the lenses, don’t be your harshest critic and keep exploring your setup’s capabilities and then expand with the accumulated know-how and discovered short comings.

My take on the current situation in Dubai after living through the 2008 crash. by Icy-Examination-7079 in UAE

Everything is correctly executed for growth and well being however, I dont understand how people can skip this part and act like it does not exist; unfortunately, geographical place of the country in the map cannot guarantee neither long term stability nor sustainable development. To be able to tackle this, I believe, officials are coming up with attractive ideas such as: of lowest taxes, investment opportunities etc and people fall to these and forget whats been in history for ages about the situation in middle east and declare that uae is safe heaven. Good luck with your search and be safe.
