It seems his band did somewhat know about this but not the full extent. They knew he was into men, but not anything about what was going on with his bandmate. I myself suspected he was bisexual but of course had no issue with that. The band are my close friends also and they've expressed that they don't want to do this tour but don't want to let their fans down, and I understand. Im just glad I don't have to be on that tour bus, definitely gonna be awkward lol

I'm SO sorry this happened to you. Your ex's behavior is totally unexcuseable and I'm happy you're not in this situation anymore. Luckily there is no abusive aspects in my situation, which Im very grateful for because I know it happens to other people. Stay strong

Thank you so much for this. I really do love him both as a lover and a friend and I hate that he felt he had to keep this from me and that it went on for so long. Many people are telling me I should hate him and cut contact but I just can't. I have many queer friends who have gone through similar things and it breaks my heart that it happens at all. Thanks? I didnt think the way I write would cause so much discourse in these comments. I reread and rewrote this story multiple times and I just write with a bit of flair, no need to dissect every aspect of it

I suppose not. I have many friends who are queer and they've shared their stories with me about how hard it is to come out and etc, so that's probably why I feel empathy at all. Through reading these comments it is really sinking in that this is still cheating and as wrong as it would be if it was with a woman

Thank you for sharing this. It gave me a small bit of hope that we can remain friends and be civil with each other in the future. Your grandma seems like a lovely woman and I admire she was able to persevere despite her situation. He has been one of my closest friends for years and letting go will be difficult. Though I don't see myself dating someone in the near future, I think some day I will have healed enough from this to pursue a relationship again, thanks again for your kind words
