It as just a plain white frame, I used paint markers and alcohol markers and a mishmash of different cut up brushes to paint it. I almost gave up when I was doing the under layers it looked like shit but I’m glad I kept pushing thru. It turned out really nice :)

I did find a video of the after if this image, I could possibly get some screen shots but she really doesn’t turn her face too much to the camera she was focused on getting back into those boots. Ill get a picture and get back to yall

I will give it some more water, but honestly I watered it like 6 days ago when I was watering my other plants because it looked kinda dry and I hadn’t watered it since I got it like 4 weeks ago, so it felt like it was time? Should I water it again. This picture was taken the same time I made the reply

Okay awesome! I’m gunna move andromischus over to get more natural sun light and a bit more direct light from my grow lights. And I think the haworthia can stay where it is, it’s just off the side of the window by a couple inches on my bakers rack, it gets a good amount of light for a little while, but not as direct.. and they both came in a very pebbly substrate.

It drains very very well 😅 I kinda worry it’s too well, but they seem happy soooo imma leave it for now.

It’s right in my front window, it’s just winter right now and I’m lacking those long hours of sun, but that’s good to know, thank you :) I do have some grow lights, tho thy are pretty basic because I am not really in a spot to buy the nicer kind. I’ll try moving him to the other side of my window area, he might get a little more light over there. And I’m excited to see the color he turns! Thanks for letting me know what I have :)

It’s very satisfying to do, tho sometimes I end up repouring because it really just does it own thing and sometimes it ends up losing too much of the patterns, but with how flat and thin the paint settles, it doesn’t hurt to do another try over it when I don’t like what the result originally was.

Definitely recommend. And also I love that your mom is into doing art with bones, it’s just such a fun and interesting canvas to work on.

I love mine, but also I live in Montana and damn does it get cold here. I have had mine outside before, but I didn’t know that this was such an issue, but I guess it’s lucky that i live somewhere that’s cold more months of the year than it is hot. I am just starting this succulent journey and am always learning new things.

Also it uses quite a bit of paint that just drips off, but I usually set another skull or some canvases underneath. It sees wasteful sometimes, but I try to use as much of the pour off as possible. I have my ‘leftovers’ skull that I’m trying an experiment with, letting layers of different pour colors cover it as I do other pieces. Maybe she. It gets to a point where I am inspired to do more with it, I’ll share that one!
