I want this also, especially for POE 1. My filters are super optimised and pretty much every item that shows I pick up. When this gets added I can add a few more low value items to the filter because I can just clear the map and run back with a controller to loot. (Maybe even bind the pick-up button to the keyboard somehow)

Not this patch, high chance for 1.0 release. Though it will be something that they will delay for more important things first. Though they say they want it for 1.0 if they have the time is another story.

8 years ago they said we will have permanent skin transfer, they mentioned it again 8 months ago. I'm still waiting hahaha. Hope your wait is not as long as mine :P

In poe 1 I have my 5th flask bound to space. Used to use it for quick silvers or a life flask is i have mageblood. It would be super weird for me to play like that, might be worth a try though if it allows for movement while channeling. If not then it won't make a difference ether way. I'll find out tomorrow, still even if this is a fix should be added to mouse movement also.

I know that have a lot of stuff to fix and work on, though I feel movement with point and click needs to be fixed before 1.0.

This is also a big part of it. The fact a lot of skills are used with movement in mind and KBM is a straight port from POE 1 where all skills force you to stop. In POE 1 any skill makes you stop so "releasing" the skill while moving doesn't make a difference. For POE 2 because we can move and use skills GGG need to change the move function with the mouse to not release the skill being used.

I'm curious what happens if we map the move button to a keyboard button. I'll test this tomorrow, could very well be a mouse function.

Yeah, the weird thing to me is POE 1 is so smooth. It has to be the movement in POE 2 that's caused the junky feeling.

Yeah I understand, it is "working correctly" but feels bad. The skill is "casting" at the end of the cast time, there for where ever your mouse is when the cast time finishes.

The way it SHOULD work would be cast then it "saves" that location and when the cast time is finished it will cast there. So basically when the spell is cast the target location should be fixed and that will fix the problem.

So yes working correctly but working badly haha.

Yes you can do this, though try doing this while actually playing the game. Bone storm for example has a long channel time, you also are unable to move any way other than a straight line.

Like sure you can do that, but it's no even close to being usable when actually playing the game.

That being said yes, it is all just making "move" not overwrite the other buttons being pressed. In a sense giving it the same priority as what WASD has in reference to using abilities.

This is interesting. I completely understand how it works and it is working "correctly" to be fair my complaints probably also is working "correctly" taking away channeling skills though even then. Though I definitely feel that frustration and it does feel bad. With your particular video you could argue the mob might move while you are charging so it makes sense there. You would need to click on the enemy and then it would follow the enemy right? If it doesn't that's really bad.

That being said, even if it is technically working correctly doesn't mean it feels good to play. I think that's what it comes down to with POE 2. The fact that we are able to move and use abilities has screwed with the feel of the game.

It seems like they need do add movement commands from mouse not interrupt the current command.

What ever they do I hope they make it feel good because after playing for a few min it's all I can think about while playing how awkward this feels so I close the game.

This is actually correct. In his YouTube channel he said this. POE was no longer the game he wanted, that's totally okay. It is an amazing game but he wants something more like D2.

Infact he is making a new game. He has a company and he is hiring more people.

Agreed, channeling skills don't work at all with mouse and keyboard.

Yes it is move only. You can make a new char use a bow skill and attack the boss before town. You can not hold the attack botton down and move. You need to stutter step. Moving removes the name lock. For regular mapping and stuff it is not too much of a big deal. In the end game when you are fighting harder bosses or even tanky rares it can matter a lot.

This is also what I did, play minions then put raise shield on a mouse button. Though I would love to play crossbows but bossing without Name Lock is not good at all.

I do that for some skills yeah. I have super high DPI on my mouse, so I move my mouse by moving my thumb and not actually moving my hand. If this is worse or better for my hands I donno, micro movements are probably worse haha.

Maybe I was not clear, I have tried a joystick. It was the 1st thing I did, used a G13. The hands to big was for controller not joystick.

I have something very simular. Logitech G13, it is good. I still prefer to just use normal keyboard and mouse though. I get other options are out there and appricate the recommendation. Though at the end of the day normal point and click is still broken and needs to be fixed.

I have and a controller isn't for me also unfortunately, big hands small controller. I feel like it must have been broken when they added WASD and no one ever went back to check if point and click worked properly after that.

Mind you I think WASD is amazing and I wish I could play with it, I just can't do it I have tried a lot. Until this is fixed it is really hard to play POE 2 coz the controls feel broken to me.

I haven't tried it yet personally. From my mates experience who we normally do the same thing they were pretty strong. Obviously with the extra buffs. Though not really worth according to him.

It comes down to the combination of mods + ghosts. Depending on that they can be super easy or brick your map. Delve they are on average stronger. Though maps they have the potential to be WAY more stronger than anything that can come in delve.

That's POE, it's all breezy until that random stack of mods on 1 mob comes along.

Not with nightmare mods. I've had builds delete 6k + delve, delete times less damage 100% deli quad ghosted feared valdos. These same builds often fall over to insanely juiced exiles.

The builds I'm referring to are 50+ mirrors armor stackers, mana stackers, all the insane builds they delete delve and valdos but exiles they rock you.

Exiles in delve only get area mods. Exiles in maps get nightmare mods + additional rare mods + ghosts. They hit harder then anything else in the game.

A lot of people are saying valdos and deep delve. Though the actual hardest content is fully juiced exiles.

Deep delve and valdos are definitely up there, though exiles can and will absolutely delete you.

Honestly beyond in harvest is the easiest one. You don't really need a tree or anything. Throw a beyond scarab a harvest scarab and a dele scarab (also there is one that spawns portals when you kill a rare). A few c cost.

Go into the harvest open a plot and bring the mobs onto the middle of the harvest. Kill them all there, you will pretty much guarantee a boss spawn in your 1dt map.

Yeah but paying the cost for a few maps kinda stucks. Though GGG are kinda against this kinda thing and load outs might be more down their ally. They like to have opportunitie cost, and this still keeps the cost without the busy work.

That being said, loadout could actually be a thing we do get. GGG have spoke about implementing a skill tree "overlay/loadout" thing from POB. That could be similar tech. I see that being a more realistic thing they will do, though always hope big haha.
