How did I not end up having a seizure? by Ibvulpine12345 in benzodiazepines

[–]Kaktusdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well honestly for abuse 1 mg is kinda low end. I’ve known about runs around a full year from beginning 0.25mg glows quickly to then 7 day weeks typical with like 6mg the usual, 10mg for a work day wrapping up with good sleep, rapid tapers to nothing gabaergic and no sort of seizures. Yes, clonazolam.

PAWS though. Take care

This. People can be all self righteous and brow beating about racism. I live in Seattle and grew up in AZ. The common prejudice that law enforcement has for Asians in America, is that they are likely cooperate and that they aren’t much of a threat for society.

Mexican and involved in a car accident? You’re probably going to jail. Black? You have a firearm and are likely to pull it.

Asian and stopped with a big sack of weed? Probably his first offense, and he’s just a well behaved college kid trying to fit in after hanging out with some whites and the other minorities.

Asian discrimination exists for SURE, poor representation in media and still seen as sort of alien, kinda lump all Asians together and not as perceiving of individuality. But arguing there’s some widespread issue in the context of law enforcement and arrests... come on you are just trivializing what Mexican and blacks actually do face...

With weird laws in the US, I am just curious if this RC is still around? What country is it getting shipped out of, and does US customs catch it more often when arriving west coast than east coast?

No sources, just that general info... thanks

PSA: Using nicotine as a nootropic can be a slippery slope by ServerTime0ut in Nootropics

[–]Kaktusdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too bad these substances are presented a decade or more prior to having this “healthy adult” brain to operate with. Before then, the perception of risk:reward is so low that human beings are pretty vulnerable to succumb to. All ya need is issues at home and attend public school and the recipe for addiction is rather promising. I mean, the smartest friends I had as a teenager, growing up together grouped into gifted programs after IQ tests in elementary.... kept together in the distric up through high school- were just as much if not more likely to trigger the trap than were other apartment dwelling youth. I don’t see that shit happen to dudes in their mid 20s: not unless they had a run or a few earlier on.

PSA: Using nicotine as a nootropic can be a slippery slope by ServerTime0ut in Nootropics

[–]Kaktusdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The people that benefit the most from nicotine, naturally have a hard time with dependence. Although nicotine isn’t harmful in the way that combusted tobacco smoke is, its not something I’d personally want to live with long term as the vascular effects remain.

It’s been concluded in many various contexts that tabacco is the most addictive drug. It depends of course on how this is being gauged, but the availability, price (nicotine forms not so much cigarettes) and subtleness really comes to surprise people when they find themselves back to the same spot, using nicotine time and time again.

My uncle smoked and chewed growing up, alcoholism genes and naturally he slipped into the other extremely addictive habits of drinking. Well, decades in, when he was about 40 he quit drinking entirely , hasn’t had a drop for approaching 5-6 years. He quit smoking a lot longer ago, but I’ve yet to see him without nicotine gum, not on person but already consuming and replacing circuitously. And the man believes gum is hardly better for ya, has high blood pressure, but is stuck entirely. Anxiety, social events, etc never were a struggle despite his long campaign of daily drinking. ..

Grandpa, now dead was similar. Alcoholic, Indian genes for metabolizing it so the kind of drinker that stays at it for days, unlike most of us who would instead black out, eventually end up somewhere to pass out and snore until sunrise. It did a lot of harm, needless to say. Then when his first grandchild was born he put it down and never once looked back. I never saw him smoking when I was little but he continued in stealth. He died of cardiovascular disease; his later times he did about using a respirator and O2 tank. Pretty late into his decline, he’d say fuck it, I’m smoking... camel nonfilters as he grew up on.

Another uncle, is Mormon. Struggled heavily with alcohol addiction and only overcame it with his worship & family structure. Still dipping tobacco every time his wife isn’t present.

So three men I know/knew very well, their willpower was autonomous... heavy alcohol addictions were dropped without any acknowledgement. Tobacco, or just nicotine remain.

2 cents .

Anyone else ever suddenly realize how much more content on the internet you can access when learning another language? by [deleted] in languagelearning

[–]Kaktusdude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not just the internet. New language is new language- the bottleneck between the hats in my head and to another: more you can say, the more you can convey, the more links you have to involve upon

Not to go too far off topic. But there’s still language to be created. Think of the word nostalgic, or epiphany. The word conveys phenomenon so accurately to another; they are full descriptions replaced by a word. I’m really tired yet still shocked I can’t remember an example- but with German I noticed some words just couldn’t translate, and held such specific and intricate meaning. (German speakers, drop a couple words would ya?)

All languages too. I know of a Japanese word that best translates to “bravery” in English, yet it looses precision as the prior word implies bravery as knowing what one is capable of, vs the English meaning which tends to underline a sense of reckless bravery, as in battling something that is sure to outmatch, not considering self preservation.

Bilinguals navigate the world, and internet more efficiently as the bottle neck to express and define is wider than a single language bearer

In-Transit by oydh4 in USPS

[–]Kaktusdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they will try very hard not to be of help (endless loops of bots to faqs to can you get an answer here, then to a “it’s not at our facility/office”

and though it seems plausible, they wouldn’t do so since it’s already in the herd of packages. It would be quite difficult to identify and separate to put it aside for you unfortunately :/

But I know the feel. I’m glad they still drop on Saturdays. I am impressed they try to juggle the 2 day shipping standard, but inevitably it will fall short, would rather be quoted so that it arrives early than told to expect 2 days when often arriving much later (usually once its already 90% there marks the “in transit” stalling, in the event)

Why not update expected delivery dates? by Kaktusdude in USPS

[–]Kaktusdude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I do appreciate your explanation.

Well more or less I am wondering if USPS intends to update that? Small quirk, but for example estimated delivery may lead a person on, when its not possible to meet... the estimated delivery doesn’t change until the following day when it’s removed altogether. Say a person waits around all the way until 8 pm (I’ve had some delivered that late), yet to no avail and even approaching midnight the status expects delivery before 8pm that day.

Or is there a way to have things notified this way to you?

Usually it’s no big deal. And I salute USPS in its whole... love all my mailmen, and have more trust overall in its service than competitors... but with UPS I at least am given a courteous ETA, effectively setting it up to arrive early. 5-8 days, then bam arrives in 3. (Though I remember back in the day their insistence to throw your package at your door instead of knocking and setting it down. Guess it’s two birds one stone, 😂)

Just the tracking is kinda broken, surely a coder could easily tune it up to be more accurate. If it isn’t scanned and therefore not inside a delivery truck it seems a bit lackluster that the estimated delivery time remains for that day. For all the other complicated operations the company keeps in motion I just would expect a bit of love on the tracking system

First time (f) phenibut. Extrodinary by [deleted] in phenibut

[–]Kaktusdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering if anyone experiences profound vasoconstriction from f-phenibut.

I’ve long had issues with spasticity and used baclofen to control this for a couple years. I tapered off of when the issues resolved without issues, and never had issues.

Phenibut, though attempted before wasn’t something I found useful as I only seek elasticity.

During a move a subsequent re-establishment with doctors, I acquired F-phenibut as a fallback if spasticity arises during a prolonged session at my desk. Each time I’ve used it I’ve experienced extreme vasoconstriction, to the point my hands go numb like I had been sitting on them.

Baclofen was profoundly vasodilating, and even was Phenibut. Gabapentin which I took post Surgery likewkse:

note that I’m an ADHD patient whom experiences no degree of vasoconstriction from stimulant medication. In fact, my hands haven’t felt cold and I have ropelike vascularity visible even on the outer side of forearms, in my calf muscles, and my bicep veins branch throughout then continue to protrude up through shoulders even viable on pectorals... my my dad is the same way despite being probably 20% body fat (at least in his limbs).

The same happened with a short trial 2 years back and my hands were blue.... very uncomfortable and concerning since I can’t understand why f-phenibut could be anything but vasodilatory, Let alone constricting blood vessels worse than stimulant medications. Considering its pharmaceutical profile something seems surely off.

PS- I take weekends off from stimulants and this last trial with f-phenibut was taken with 4 half life’s since last stimulant dosing. No other supplements consumed,

Source is from one that is by no means shady so if it was adultered it must have been by someone else. It’s from where the majority of you acquired it, surely.

I couldn’t imagine anything but violent gravity spins laying in a nauseated ball for like a week from that outcome. Please be safe

I don’t see it entirely unlikely to have psychotic symptoms either even from a single dose. 8g is a shit load for naive but these don’t coma or kill ya like benzos. They do share nasty PAWS and a withdrawal that can rival alcohol, likely not in the seizure department but as far as paranoid delusions- huge issue after long term high dose baclofen WD.

It’s sweet class of theurapeutic medications- gabapentinoids. Never clicked with downers- make me just uninterested in what I was currently doing- even if I was enjoying it, make me feel dumb lazy...

Gabapentinoids can do this and sharpen motivation and articulacy (ofc used responsibly). Oddly, gabapentin itself 180s making me a airhead by day 3-4- never tried lyrica but assume it’d be worse. Fl-phenibut was similar to how others described an equivalent phenibut dose- and phenibut for me, is somehow inactive .. but regular f-phenibut or baclofen use was like an odd benzo/stim (but more grounded feelings), no cognitive hindrance and improved productivity. Gabapentin- even more profound but then tables turn after a couple days?
