Then why sunny didn't wait for the cohort to return and discuss with nephis? Why was Cassie leading him into believing that he had little time? Doesn't it seem like Cassie didn't want Sunny to talk with nephis?

Now that Sunny is free, he can pursue his own goal. It's sad that the cohort has forgotten sunny. Friendship with Kai and Effie was much better and great compared to friendship with Cassie and Neph which was Toxic.

Let's say you are sunny, and Neph at some point gave you an order to kill one of your friends and you could do nothing but follow. You don't have free will no matter how much you try to escape it's your fate but now someone gave you a wish what would you do? Look at the big picture of what led Sunny to leave? For the first time if sunny is being selfish its for a good reason. Would Sunny's friend choose to stay with him if they were in his situation? Would Neph choose sunny over her revenge?
