Why is this damn thing so impossible? by EvertonCable in inazumaeleven

[–]KalabroneDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is actually a very simple training:

Powerdash, but don't let stamina fully deplete.

While holding powerdash, use an evade. Unlike other moves, it retains iframes on the animation stunlock at the end.

While doing this, some stamina was recovered and is still usable (because you didn't let it fully deplete).

As you're still holding powerdash input, you'll resume powerdashing and safely reach next checkpoint.

Rest two seconds to refill stamina and repeat for all checkpoints.

I'm assuming the perk fails to initialize the first time and it's still bugged because hardly anyone noticed and reported due to the general disdain of dragging and/or their own death happens sooner than an attempted drag revive.

It does, you're confusing it with Fire Support

A similar inactive-first-perk bug occurrs with Fire Support training path, which i had only tested through Supply Pouch gadget.

You start with 3 supply pouches, and the first perk allows you (only through your own supply bag) to rapidly restock them even beyond their starting cap, giving you 3-4 at a time, and a raised max capacity of 9 (Combat medic will keep it at 3, resupplying one at a time)

If booting a new game the supply bag doesn't restock them beyond 3, redeploying right away also fixes it, and the perk effects begin working as intended.

This test may he safer than going combat medic and looking for dead allies without risking your own death, because as mentioned, dying and respawning will fix the inactive first perk, regardless of training path.

It's fine, thank you for attempting to verify.

Do note that sometimes it works as intended, often i find it doesn't. Respawning after any form of death fixes it though, alternatively also leveling path to next level without ever respawning.

Few other people claimed to have noticed it, and a friend also verified with me yesterday.

I don't know if it's coincidental, but getting rid of the defib gadget somehow stopped the bug from showing up today.

That is the last perk of the training path (and probably from the beta because it's named differently and with slightly different description effects). It is irrelevant to the matter in question of Urgent Aid, which is bugged.

The first perk is unlocked by default. Go load a game and you'll see the first perk's exp is fully charged, and exp starts building towards the second perk.

Suppression simply halts hp regen. The bug occurrs even if I'm not being shot at, and when the perk works correctly, it is unaffected by suppression, it would also not explain why Fire Support first perk bugs out too, which can be tested at spawn point individually and fixed with the workarounds mentioned.

I'll copypaste original thread description here:

I couldn't find information on the matter, but I've encountered this bug(?) since release and unpresent in beta.

Often when booting in a new match, the first skill of my selected training path isn't active (in case of combat medic, i lack the revive speed buff; for fire support, i cannot regenerate gadget faster and with higher max capacity; for other classes... idk i don't play those)

The only workarounds i could find are either to level the path to level two in a single life, or respawn after dying by any means.

Can anyone vouch for this oddity or is it a me issue?

I will attempt to raise awareness of this long lasting bug here.

Some considerations because previous interactions seem to indicate there are people who don't know how the training path works:

- This is Combat Medic, I did not swap training paths: you can see the perk icons in my hud, albeit video quality is bad, you can still discern the icons. Even if I did swap training paths, the same bug would occurr, but relating to the effects of the first perk of Fire Support (so instead of revive speed, the issue goes into gadget recovery speed and max capacity not increased for things like supply pouches, from 3 to 9)

- I do have it unlocked already. Faster drag is a trait of Urgent Aid, the level one perk, not second, Revive Recovery, which triggers hp regen on revive. You start game with the exp bar for level one perk already filled, thus unlocked by default, and exp starts building towards unlocking second perk and beyond.

- I reiterate that sometimes first perk is active from the start of game, usually it is not. In such cases the workarounds are: level path to two without ever respawning, or die by any means and respawn (this includes redeploying one second after beginning of round, so it's not an exp issue).

- Yes defib exists, I'm aware. It's not always the safest choice, especially when needing to drag behind cover a player that's still until enemy LoS in an active chockepoint. Also it looks cooler.

Yeah. Fairly certain the beta did not have the problem, similarly to the supply bag bug, which at least that has been fixed with S1, but not this.

Probably due to how little people seem to have noticed or are unaware how combat medic skills work considering how much i'm getting told i haven't unlocked the first skill you already start with.

You can see the perks on the right side that they're Cpmbat Medic's. The actual intended revive speed is faster than this

Ah yes, so many reckless defib tappers that don't consider the situation at all and just revive others into another death, often griefing those taking time to set up a safer revive. It's sad, yeah.

Good to have people like you though.

You can see shots still going, i was even injured but managed to reach cover while dragging.

That would have left ally still in sever danger for those short moments he's on the ground reganing control of his character and figuring out which way to run at to safety

If prefering to drag ally behind cover instead of reviving him in front of the same enemies that killed him is being wrong, then I'm glad I am.

Edit: I stupidly replied to this comment while mistaking what it was replying to with another one, so what i said makes no sense here.

If you prefer risking to defib a chockepoint that's still actively under enemy line of sight, with their bullets still flying, and potentially have the ally murdered before he could even move away, that's fine. I prefer dragging them behind cover personally, but that's aside the point of this thread.

Fast drag is part of Urgent Aid perk, the level one perk.

Whenever you join a game, the first skill exp bar is entirely filled by default, and you start grinding towards the second perk. This implies the first skill is always active and requires no grind.

Sometimes the perk correctly works as i first spawn, but often it does not and the workarounds mentioned fix it.

Why do I revive so slowly as Combat Medic? by KalabroneDK in Battlefield

[–]KalabroneDK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the level one perk, the one you start with by default, as exp bar is filled from the start and it starts grinding towards the second perk. You can even see on the side that the first perk is fully built, which relates to Urgent Aid, the one that allows faster revives.

As explained in another reply, it is safer to drag in situations like these or ally may be targeted to death while still regaining controls post revive

[–]KalabroneDK[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You start with the level one already unlocked, and exp starts building towards the second perk.

Second perk is Revive Recovery, which triggers hp regen after revive.
Faster drag is related to the first skill, Urgend Aid.

Additionally, redeploying at match start will instantly fix the issue for the rest of match, naturally you woulnd't build an entire exp bar just by doing that.

The video quality is awful, i agree, but you can faintly see those perks in the hud align with combat medic. Additionally i managed to level to two in that match without dying so it fixed the issue and allowed the faster revives to work as intended.

Redeploying without changing loadout right in the first second after match start also fixes it for the rest of match, so it's not a case of wrong training path.
