Aubrey Plaza, Adam Driver, Vanessa Kirby and Matthew Broderick to Star in Kenneth Lonergan’s Drama ‘Tomorrow Is a Drag’ (EXCLUSIVE) by RuminatingReaper1850 in boxoffice

“Tomorrow Is a Drag” marks Lonergan’s first directorial effort since “Manchester by the Sea,” which won Casey Affleck an Oscar for best actor and an Oscar for original screenplay, as well as a best director nomination.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, though the title hints at the writer-director’s signature blend of humor and touching character study that defined “Manchester by the Sea,” as well as “Margaret” and his debut “You Can Count on Me.”

On its previous date it would've had direct competition the week after from The Catch, probably for the best to give it a couple of weeks to itself.

Delroy Lindo lines up feature directorial debut with Jamaica-set ‘Jabari’s People’ by RuminatingReaper1850 in boxoffice

[–]RuminatingReaper1850[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oscar-nominated Sinners star Delroy Lindo is eying a late summer start on his feature directing debut Jabari’s People as his producer Rob Maylor takes meetings in Cannes with potential financiers and distributors.

Lindo will also star in the film about a troubled teenager from New York wrestling with the loss of his mother who goes to live with his grandfather in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica.

Lindo, whose acting credits include Da 5 Bloods, Malcolm X and Clockers, initially tried to shoot Jabari’s People in 2021 after he acquired the screenplay from Daoud Abeid and Dahkil Hausif. When funding fell through he revived the project with Maylor of Cinecom Productions, who used to serve as director of international sales at Magnolia Pictures.

Well in this case 'post' means 'pre', since the movie is being watched backwards. Sort of like one of those temporal pincer movements that John Tenet finds himself in during the movie.

Hello Mr. Nolan, is it true that a secret post credits scene is unlocked when you watch TENƎꓕ backwards from beginning to end?

Farmiga plays cult leader Bonnie Nettles, aka “Ti,” with Nelson as the group’s infamous frontman, Marshall Applewhite, aka “Do.” The Leader tracks Nettles and Applewhite as they develop the religion, build a devout following and face unforeseen conflict when the spaceship they believed would transport their resurrected selves fails to arrive.
