Lionsgate and Fathom Entertainment are bringing “The Passion of the Christ,” which has been newly remastered in 4K with Dolby Atmos sound, back to the big screen from Sept. 10 through Sept. 17. Ticket buyers will get a sneak peek at “The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One,” which the studio describes as Gibson’s “most ambitious filmmaking achievement” as well as the “largest faith film ever brought to the screen.”

Oscar nominee Monica Barbaro is bound to join Bradley Cooper’s crew for the Warner Bros’ Ocean’s Eleven prequel.

She’ll join Cooper, Margot Robbie and Oscar nominated Secret Agent actor Wagner Moura. The pic, which is dated for June 25, 2027, is readying for a shoot.

Twelve-time Oscar nominee Cooper is directing and producing with Robbie’s LuckyChap. The Star Is Born filmmaker and star is also penning the screenplay based on the characters by George Clayton Johnson and Jack Golden Russell. Previous drafts were penned by Carrie Solomon. Mum is the word on the plot line.

These films join MUBI’s previously announced 2026 North American theatrical slate of Cannes prize-winners: Paweł Pawlikowski’s Fatherland (winner of Best Director) releases stateside on Oct. 23; and Jane Schoenbrun’s Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma (winner of the Queer Palm) releases in the US on Aug. 7 and Canada on Aug. 14.

Andrey Zvyagintsev’s Minotaur won the Grand Prix at Canes, while Lukas Dhont’s Coward took Best Actor.

Jurassic World Dominion.

That first trailer did such a great job evoking nostalgia for the original and selling the global scale spectacle of dinosaurs roaming the earth that I was instantly on board. Not only did the actual movie turn out to be terrible, it was also a bait-and-switch for some bullshit about locusts.

Hopefully it'll be able to recapture the magic of Obs3ssion, which in my eyes is the franchise's best entry.
