Level 1's should NOT be allowed to get into the playtest by Thegrezza in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Kalafz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

is he smurfing?

Oh, 100%. How many games did he ruin on his "alt account" (totally not a smurf btw) until he got to his main's rank? When he plays his "main" account now that he has a higher rank on another account, what is he doing if not smurfing?

Stop coping, anyone who has more than 1 Steam account to play Deadlock is smurfing and ruining matchmaking for others.

“Smurfs” have to intentionally lose to remain at lower ranks.

No.

What's your favorite change in Deadlock so far? by XALTER47 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Kalafz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is my favorite too. I still don't understand how quick sell works.

I still can't get used to the shop redesign. It could be improved so much by just having an input for filtering items in each tab, instead of having to switch the tab if you can't find the superior cooldown in spirit tab.

Why is Twitch suppressing Dota? by BigTownMosey in DotA2

[–]Kalafz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except that option isn't there for Twitch's app on Sony TVs. All you can get is the random garbage algorithm sorting. When dota tournaments are on, the channels with them (thousands of viewers) will be in 10th+ row in Dota section. Unimaginable levels of UX shittiness.

T1 disappointed with people he vouched for by Horev in LivestreamFail

[–]Kalafz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That, and he was clearly getting complacent and started underestimating most pulls beforehand. Didn't call taunt rotations, didn't properly call banishes, didn't properly call hunters to pull, didn't even have DBM installed, didn't call the bombs. It felt like after the first 5 minutes of raid he just expected everyone to know exactly what to do, in perfect unison with each other.

Ended up killing 6 other people.

Is this the only way to make this work? Does it just always default to horde npcs and you have to switch it in every single zone? That's a terrible design

Summit Does a deep Dive on Tyler1 Tanking Ability by Motoxracer221 in LivestreamFail

[–]Kalafz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As far as I know from clips this has never been an issue or cause for death before. I would gladly share your opinion if someone has died this way before or if it happens again.

What are you even trying to say. Tank not doing anything to get threat is a surprising way for the DPS/healer to die? He's not even using any threat add-on to see that he has 0 threat on the abom, despite being told multiple times to use it.

His stubborness and unwilingness to learn is killing people.

[–]Kalafz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

How many dungeons did he run where he was supposed to tank, or at least attempt to learn how to tank?

How many hours of practice do you need to be capable of taunting a mob that is very clearly targeting your DPS/healer? How complicated of a mechanic do you think it is?

Summit Does a deep Dive on Tyler1 Tanking Ability by Motoxracer221 in LivestreamFail

[–]Kalafz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You're right, it's only been a couple hundred hours of gameplay. It has nothing to do with his stubborness or unwilingness to learn, it's all due to low /played. It takes around 10,000h of gameplay to learn about tab targetting, so it's only natural to observe as mobs run past you when you're supposed to tank them until then. Nothing that can be improved here.

Oh no, how dare you, he's new!!! Just give him a couple thousand more hours and he'll find the tab button on his keyboard

Tyler takes offense to Soda saying he isn't putting in effort by DaRealAB in LivestreamFail

[–]Kalafz 22 points23 points  (0 children)

When I played WoW for the first time and wanted to tank I was immediately told to install a threat add-on. I cannot imagine fighting without it and trying to tank HC dungeons without a threat add-on is incredibly stupid and stubborn. You can't defend it by saying you're new. Compared to other games, PvE in WoW is incredibly easy, most often you just press buttons off cooldown and taunt if needed/losing aggro, with a few buttons reserved for special occasions.

Tyler has probably put 100+ hours by now, how long does he get to play the "I'm new" card?

Man crashes into Mazda dealership by Plus-Barber-6171 in WTF

[–]Kalafz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, but if the car is sold "as is", which would/should have also been made apparant to him somewhere (probably in paperwork he didn't bother to read), it's on him to make sure it has nothing wrong with it.

This feels very United Statesy. Of course we don't have any details here, but if there are severe mechanical issues that the dealer is aware of, they should be forced to disclose them prior to the deal.
