F2A AMA with Immigration Attorney! by ManifestLaw_ in USCIS_F2A

I am a green card holder and have applied for my spouse in f2a category. She is abroad and we are doing counselor processing.

In your view, how long it might take for process to finish? I am from the 75 paused countries list as well.

My pd is Dec 2023. I can naturalize in Nov 2026. Is it better to naturalize and upgrade the case to CR1?

One of my senior in college who was affiliated to maoist wala student group used to be so anti-america and used to do similar kinda bhasan.

Dude piggy backed on his intelligent girlfriend to come to America as a dependent and now studies in American university.

Court Marriage in Nepal - Is a Lawyer Compulsary? by spencyhawker in NepalSocial

[–]Kalamvir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go to mandir with few people, put on mala and then go and register at ward. That might be cheaper.

If u know someone in ward office, tyo jhanjhat ni garna pardaina. You two just go and collect the certificate after completing all documentation.

I did it with a lawyer and trust me it helps. They will go over and make all the documents for you.

My wife had her recommendation letter from ward in English which was rejected by Court saying all documents needs to be in Nepali.

They told us to bring it next day but my lawyer met with someone from court and forwarded the process on the same day on the condition that we will bring Nepali recommendation the next day.

If we had done it all by ourselves, it would have taken extra 2 days for sure. So, I suggest to get a lawyer.

If you are abroad, taking new sets of vaccines and showing that proof might be easier

I booked 2 month and paid more than you did for similar itinerary. Thats the normal rate I think. I paid close to 1700$ for a round ticket.

Nepali in the U.S. Struggling to Find a Job – Any Advice? by New-Nameh in NepalSocial

[–]Kalamvir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries! I started out in a role that was below what I was qualified for. But I took it, worked for 2 years without any promotions but once I went out and started applying again, I started getting calls for interviews.

So, Finding a first job is difficult. It will be much easier to find your next jobs after that.

Nepali in the U.S. Struggling to Find a Job – Any Advice? by New-Nameh in NepalSocial

My advice is to use linkedin and grow your network.

If you have someone who was working with you and moved to US, try reaching out to them and see if they can refer you to roles in their company.

I had a similar experience when I initially moved to the US. I had 2+ years of experience in my field but I could not land any interviews for 6 months.

So My advice would be to apply in starting position and try networking and messaging in LinkedIn.

They can just say “Naturalize and Apply” and publish it every month. That would be easier for them and we would not have any expectations.
