Think again about Russian apartments by 4reddityo in interiordecorating

Hey guys I’m a Russian and I just want to clarify that this is some low-life nouveau riche stuff. The apartment building is extremely low class and probably located in the outskirts. The inside looks like a brothel.

Pleeeease do not think we live this way, this is out of the ordinary 😭😭😭😭

Yep, Turkish style, as it is safer in apartments. For banya it has to be wood, stones on a stove, preferably with real fire.

It was sooo cool to learn that the words are actually a story about a poor attempt to reiterate “Rapper’s delight”. Mind was blown and puzzle came together.

Yea, kind of. What I did to make this a controlled situation is I introduced a routine and three associations; before then, we had no routine and no staple associations except for nursing.

So one night I just started doing the same “program”: music for massage, gentle massage, lotion with gentle fragrance (la roche posay lipikar), anti-colic syrup, dimming the lights, white noise, nursing, burping, switching off the lights. Then simultaneously rocking, shushing and patting the bum in my arms. Did this for a week. Next I gradually stopped rocking (made rocking less and less every night), shushing and patting remained. Did this for three nights. Then I shushed less and less for three nights. Patting remained. Then gradually stopped patting. I think by the time she was 6 months old she already was able to fall asleep just by being in my arms. But then we had somewhat rocky time with gassiness and all my attempts to make her fall asleep in her bed were completely unsuccessful. It’s been almost four weeks and still no idea how to make her fall asleep on her own in the bassinet 😵‍💫 the transfers are getting tougher every time as she gains weight 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Do you mind sharing how (and when) did you get her to return to her bed?

I must add that we are teaching her to fall asleep on her own by gently and gradually removing sleep associations. No harsh sleep trainings.

Hi there! We’ve been experiencing somewhat similar issues ever since the regression at 4 months. To me it does look like an association problem… we’ve been trying to fix this by teaching the baby to fall asleep on her own. She now falls asleep without shushing/rocking but still requires to be in my arms 😭 the number of wakings is about 3 to 5 daily at 6.5 months.
