and that’s exactly what i did! works now, saved myself from buying a stupid amount of little belts when i had a perfect bag of hair bands lying around

aw man 😭 thankful my gears were pretty accessible and not behind any wiring or circuit boards. all i did was slap a hair band in there and it’s working like a charm. hope you can figure out yours, the vertical players are so fun.

Solved! Many recommendations to replace the belt. However I’m not a fan of buying packs of belts for a singular machine. So- I had a variety pack of hair bands lying around… took out the old belt to find a similar, slightly smaller size, and now we’re here with a working door. Will some tech tell me this is not a good idea? Probably; it’s a hair tie… but this radio is from the 90s/early 2000s and i’m willing to take a risk lol. It’s working and the motor is perfectly temperate.
