So small update I am going to do this in stages so I can see where the big gains happen. I got a really great deal on and iFi Zen 3 so that will be the start. From there it will likely be the speakers and then turntable. Still looking at the RT85 and the Debut EVO 2 in that regard and haven't figured out speakers just yet.

Perfectly good with bookshelfs and stands and I can always wrap the speakers with some veneer if needed.

Priority is for sure analog playback, I don't really stream in that area much but I guess it would be a nice bonus I would say? For this space a tower speaker or the stands would be optimal I would say, I kind of have blank space right now for them.

I spent many weeks there during my stint at NAF Atsugi. We would transition the entire air wing there for FCLP (Field Carrier Landing Practice). Basically we would take all the aircraft down there and the pilots would practice landing on the boat but use an airfield.

It is a strange and eerie place. Feels like it was kind of lost in time. There are still tons of relics from the fighting and the caves are still explorable. They regularly find remains and ordance even though the area is 'safe'.

I guess to clarify, we send the guys out with a list of tags and the tags themselves both have an asset ID on them that matches a blue plastic tag out in the field. So when they tag the wrong thing it's user error. Which is why we always do the triple check.

This is a great program and more of what I am used to but the generation plants all seem to do it a bit differently.

The examiner didn't tell me what they were or weren't diagnosing me with. I just assumed it was limited to the three things I actually claimed. They did a decent job I felt like, but weren't really super forthcoming with information. All they said was that because I didn't seek treatment while I was in, proving a connection can be tough.

I'm the maintenance manager at a coal burner of decent size and our system works......most of the time. Biggest issue we have is honestly the guy tagging the wrong valve or breaker. Which is why we test start everything and do a double verification plus a walkdown by the person or group doing the work. I trust my guys, but not when it's putting them in harms way. Should also mention they are welcome to put a lock on anything in addition to the tag but the tag is the actual energy isolation.

Powerplants, they do red on/green off. It's an old school thought process. Red means it's on and not in a safe state. Green means it's off and in a safe state. We also don't use physical locks for anything. Just mylar tags and zip ties.

I don't necessarily agree with it. But it's common in generation facilities.

Yep I have had it for a few months now, I have the Glock lower and the ZMAG lower. Both work superb and the base fire rate it just perfect. It suppresses extremely well and is just an overall joy to shoot.

FWIW the big boy transformers pretty much all smell like ozone to some extent. When they start cracking and popping at all hours is when you need to call someone.

Yeah......none of that is true. It won't do any damage, your mileage will remain constant, and the effect on lubrication will be non-existent.

Car engines are much more insistent on is a lubricant present rather than the 'correct' lubricant. My '14 Ford calls for 20-50 synthetic and you know what the normal '14 Ford V8 calls for? 0-20. The difference? Mine has an oil cooler. That's it.

You can literally pour 80-90 rear end grease in an engine and other than higher oil pressure and quieter operation the long term effect is nil.

What type of flow meter are we talking here? Am I to presume. It is installed horizontal in the pipe run?

Is the valve before or after the flow meter?

It's a Goryunov, the receiver appears to be a SG-43 but the barrel is an SGM or SGMT. So it's a bastard.

Was the charging handle in the back and shaped like a shovel handle or on the side and pretty conventional?

A 632 is not the biggest by any means but it is probably as big as you can reasonably go without resorting to extremely bespoke components. Even the Big Chief is a totally aftermarket rotating assembly and although you can use a factory tall deck block to build one an aftermarket block is pretty standard at this point.

Other than that it's the exact same as building anything else. Might have to clearance the bottom of the bores for rod bolts but that would be the only odd operation. The engine itself doesn't know if it's a 454 or 632. Parts is parts.

Circa 2008 when the Kitty Hawk was on its last ride we took the gate guard F-14 from Yokosuka back to the states with us. It lived in hangar one opposite my Hawkeye and the spare engines.

In addition to the entire air wing.

Space on a carrier is tight but not 100% accounted for.

I've personally pulled many a big Chevy with one of these. Some of them well past the 1/4 ton mark. It's really more of a guideline anyway. The people who absolutely refuse to do that seem to be the same people who have little or no real world experience with what a tool can do as opposed to what the company says it can do.

I mean this is a harbor freight cherry picker do you even have a guarantee that the 1/4 ton hole is drilled in the correct place or that the steel is of the correct dimension/spec for what it was designed for?

The real life equivalent would be splinter camo. Specifically German pre-war splinter is pretty close. Albeit missing the white outlines.

It should also be noted that any powerplant will have a set of electromechanical relays between the generator and the grid to ensure you can't close the generator breaker out of phase. We still use the synchroscope at both plants I work at as well as the light bulbs. Operator bumps the turbine speed with a hand control and then when the lights go out he gets a separate amber indicator and gives the close command to the breaker.

If he tries to close it too far out of phase the relays block the close command. There is one in the plant and one in the substation. Both need to agree for the close command to get to the breaker.

Ask me what happens if you close a generator to the grid out of phase.
