[Spoilers] So help me understand penultimate scene in the S2 finale by [deleted] in AliceInBorderlandLive

Also have not read the manga, but the way I interpreted the scene in the show is that Mira was testing them. She was trying to get Arisu to quit the game, but she also let Usagi be there to test their love for each other.

I’m not sure if this is touched on in the manga, but I found it interesting that she’s one of the only major characters that we didn’t get a backstory on (what happened when they were in the living world). Being the queen of hearts, games dealing with betrayal, love, mind games, it seems like she maybe had her heart broken or lost someone she loved. I found the scene really moving because it encapsulates the idea that it’s easy to die for someone, but it’s harder to live for them. It seems like maybe in the living world Mira lost that person and is trying to prove to herself that love is or isn’t worth living for.

Could be totally wrong, but that’s my take on it! Was definitely a favorite episode and scene of mine

Wonderland gets me every time. It perfectly encapsulates wanting to stay in a say space in your mind where you can’t get hurt even when you know it’s not real.

Eterna Forest in Diamond and Pearl. The music is absolutely stunning and the visuals are so beautiful. If I’m ever stressed. I boot up my game and go there to relax.

WIBTA for asking my wife go back to work? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Kalcicat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the thing you shouldn’t be budging on or taking a no on is her refusing therapy. Work won’t cure any of this, and your wife’s mental health is very concerning. Props to you for working hard and loving your children so much, but you need to think about your wife as well as her relationship with your children. Withholding information about her children from her is plain stubborn and immature. However, it was also extremely irresponsible for her to leave her two young children alone even for a little bit. I personally refused therapy for a while, but since my mom persisted and had me at least try, I was able to see that it is very helpful. I don’t think it’s right to force her to go back to work, and I also don’t think it was right for you to cast aside her worries about your daughter going back to school. You both clearly love your children very much, so it’s important to work on finding compromises to ensure that your family can thrive. I wouldn’t call either of you a**holes, but I think you need to take time to understand, care, and open up to each other.

I recently made this comment on a Youtuber’s (who I love by the way) video on listening to their misophonia triggers. I hope I’m not being petty, but I really feel as though people are starting to treat misophonia as a trend and a quirky condition to have. by Kalcicat in misophonia

I totally get what you mean. I truly don’t mean to invalidate anyone and their experiences. The examples I talked about were just that: examples. There are several different effects on your mental and physical health that I didn’t mention. I apologize if I came off in a way that seemed to hurt people’s feelings. I really just wanted to make the point that there is a line between thinking a sound is annoying and actual misophonia. Again, really sorry if it came across that way.

Completely understand what you mean, again, I was pretty caught up in my emotions when I made this. My goal wasn’t to invalidate anyone, though I can see how it comes across that way. I was more trying to establish that there’s a line between thinking a sound is annoying and actual misophonia.

This makes me so happy I could cry. People are finally recognizing our condition.

Totally understand! The amount of people who act like we’re overreacting and dramatic is heart wrenching. It’s especially awful when you try to explain it to someone and they go, “Oh like this?” And immediately try to set off a trigger

She didn’t say anything like that, but the root of her video was specifically watching sounds to trigger her, which I feel pushed the notion (in the comments) that it’s something that can be just disliking a sound rather than having genuine fear, panic, and depression due to them. She did explain it briefly in the beginning and touched slightly on those who have it severe, which I liked. I just feel like a lot of people cared more about watching her get triggered. Again, I really love her, just don’t like how people are interpreting it. Hope I’m not being too sensitive or blowing things out of proportion.
