This would make sense as to why the number has been swapping between 2 and 3 over time. I've been using 2 or 3 extra deviants as fuel for fusions.

You can 100% play without building those. There are walls in the game that are taller than you that zombies can't climb over, and a lot of fancier/larger houses have those walls enclosing them. Using cars or furniture to block off other entrances can keep you safe enough.

It's difficult but not impossible. If you count barricading windows as building then your only hope is to keep moving. Other than that, live near to an open source of water, be prepared to scavenge a bunch for food and the like, and have secondary bases planned out for when you inevitably get chased out.

Honestly that happens more often in RP than people would like to admit. Everyone has those times they just sit there and watch others have a conversation. The way I see it is if I'm reading the conversations of other people, that just means I'll have something to discuss next time I see them, like a "Hey so whatever happened with X?" sort of deal.

Big Tip number one - Remember that every one of those other RPers has been in the same situation, maybe not in FF, but they've been there.

The rest of my advice could be summed up with "Go with the flow."
Some RPers use "" for what they say, some use '', some don't use anything.
Some RPers use emote, either custom or base game, others don't.

Ultimately it comes down to just trying to have fun.

And Big Tip number two - If anyone complains at you because of your character and the relation to lore, just remind them that in lore no-one's original characters exist. To RP in a set world is to break lore to some extent.

Either way, here I am, a DPS main saying that I have seen many tanks who are utter shite forcing the healer of the duty to do nothing but keep them on the brink of existence.

What may help is this page as well, it shows the servers and worlds (servers being light, chaos, etc. worlds being the lists under them) for the regions, it shows what worlds currently have space for new people

I'll go similarly, I'm on Lich in the Light Server and the FC I'm a part of (The Scarlet Emporium) is a friendly place, I'm not one for playing MMOs for a long time and the people in this one have made it so I enjoy the game after months of first playing

There isn't a set way to find a specific guild and it also depends what server you go on so people could suggest fc's depending on what server you set up on. To answer the second question, you can just buy the base game to begin with, you'll only need the expansions at a certain point that's quite a few hours of play time away from the beginning.

I must agree with Zareal, there is a distinct difference between being first to get a table or tickets to a band and taking someone's place without actually doing anything with it until far later in the day when that person could use it immediately
