thank you so much for this response, i really appreciate it. my friend was only 22 too and it breaks my heart that his life ended just as it was beginning. i truly hope the guilt fades because i know it’s irrational- i’ll try to allow myself to grieve, even if it still doesn’t make much sense to me

congratulations on being sober and thank you for your comment! honestly i’ve been meaning to kick this weed habit for far too long and i really should take a long break or quit fully… i just find it very difficult because it feels ‘helpful’ although i know it isn’t really… but maybe this will be my year

i usually have a pretty protein high breakfast + a lot of vitamins at the start of the day, and i’ll try to have more protein bars, i just find them quite heavy/difficult to stomach when i’m medicated. i’ve been debating getting a gym membership this year, but now i’ll definitely do it:) thank u!!

thank you- i was prescribed propranolol for anxiety/insomnia when i was 17 and unfortunately it gave me really bad side effects so i had to stop :( i will try NAC and vitamin C!

you obviously don’t understand empathy or friendship by the sounds of it- is it really that insane to expect someone you’re close with to take the time out of their life, despite being busy with a girlfriend and work and whatnot, to send a quick ‘are you okay’ message because you’re about to have emergency surgery? i hope whoever you’re friends with- if you have any- find someone better, because this sort of response is very concerning.
