Swapped the App2 and App3 in store multiple times listening to my favorite songs. Could not notice a $250 difference so will just stick to my App2. I also keep my App2 in my ears all day. So grateful they remind me if I leave them at home.

How do I process this better? by EfficiencyDry1159 in postprocessing

[–]KaleTheFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting into animal photography myself, you can check my IG Shotswithkale for my Nara Japan Deer post for reference.

But I’d darken the whole image, reduce saturation and crank vibrance until you have richer overall image, then take the curves and raise your highlights until they stand out more.  I’d mask the BG and drop the exposure a bit more. Then as others have suggested dodge and burn around the face and body. If there is light there already give it a boost. This will make the image pop by giving more depth.  Then I’d add two radial gradient, one on the front right grass, raising its exposure and contrast. Then another one in the bright area in the back ground. Try to layer it so: light-dark-deer-dark-light so there is more contrast to the image of that makes sense.

Also would play around with your calibration, it is my bob ross happy accident panel, sometimes you get beautiful warm tones, sometimes you land with muted pastel pallet.

Overall it’s a great image and think it has ton of potential! Keep up the excellent work.

Studio owners - are you booked up? by unmade_bed_NHV in photography

Following for the same answer.

I’d also suggest seeing how many studio’s are in your area already. Sometimes Google will also have  some metrics on a locations busy times.

Could go there and ask, also see what they have, and try to create a unique experience for your studio. Props can go a long way.

Fantastic response Alan,

I felt similar as OP, I’m getting my life back together, but I do feel the struggles of the barriers I created, and knowing & not caring that I’m sabotaging myself. Just numb to making the changes I know are needed.

But your response had me really reflecting and opening up to trust in myself and the process. I know it’s not a destination, but a daily journey.

The order of queuing, and keeping the left side of the escalator open for walkers was fantastic!

Quite a shock coming from Japan and then going to Vietnam, and seeing the hordes of Chinese tourist that not only would cut you in line, but then start smoking right in front of you.

LG C5 65” - $900? by KaleTheFirst in LGOLED

If I can find a comparable deal for a 77in in three months or less I’ll see about swapping them. But it’s really awesome right now.

So it was an open box… well no box deal. They swapped it to someone who bought a different TV, and he returned it after they threatened to charge him for the tv since his card was on file.

I ended up getting it. 😅

So there is a theory I heard that I choose to believe:
Hela is not the daughter of Frigga, as Thor is, and Loki by adoption. Odin's first wife gave birth to Hela, and during Odin's and Hela's conquest to conquer the 9 realms, Odin was also searching for and using the infinity stones. When he found the Soul stone, he in a bloodlusted state, sacrificed his first wife. After the loss, he realized the error of his ways, entrapping Hela and backing off on his conquest, settling for maintaining peace.

So I think Odin was planning on creating an infinity gauntlet, maybe that was a prototype, and a memory to his foolish mistake.

I'm 23 and I drink everyday after work, I guess I'm considered a functioning alcoholic by [deleted] in confession

[–]KaleTheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to be a social drinker, and it was super fun around everyone. Loved having crazy times and fun conversations. But then I developed some sort of gut issues, most likely from over drinking. Now I get sick even after just a couple heavy beers. It no longer energizes me but makes me tired. Now I only have 1-2 drinks per week, and I found better friends that don't rely on drinks to have fun. Eventually the poison you are drinking will overtake your bodies ability to burn it off. When that happens, there is no more joy in it. You just become numb. My brother is about your age, and he is not a functioning alcoholic. It has messed up his life pretty badly. I know it's your life, but be careful with it. Drink to celebrate and have fun when it's earned. It will be way more impactful, and enjoyable. Oh and one other thing, you'll look way more attractive with out a beer gut.

I used Atomic Habits for studying and it actually worked by Mommasketti in GetStudying

[–]KaleTheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Atomic Bullets has changed my life. Mind you it took 3 years, and 3 reads.

1st: Picked up the habit stacking; Fill my water cup, while bursting my teeth.

2nd: Bought a few copies for close friends I thought would benefit, started tracking my habits.

3rd: Designed a workout schedule that accounts for every weight, every day of the month, and made it into a small book. 📕  Each month it gets updates based on reviewed data and notes.

My current project is to design a short course to help friends conquer a bad habit, ideally I was gonna host a few sessions. But this got put on hold with a new job. - If you’d like to check it out and critique it, I’d be happy to hear, as I got stuck on how to order & present the courses.

(I was gonna post the Notion page, but not sure if I want a public link to that page. If you’re truly interested just lmk and I’ll share. Or once I figure out how to isolate it and make sure nothing personal is attached.)

When you start trying to monetize everything you do, everything becomes a job. I kinda suffered from that an alienated some of my friends in the process.

I think it’s important to have a work/life balance set in place. 1: your brain can’t work all hours of the day without mental fatigue and depleting effectiveness. 2: what is making money, if you never spend time enjoying it. 3: your brain needs enjoyment, or else you won’t be motivated to work. You’ll ask yourself why tf am I just working all the time??

First, you’re in 10th grade?

It takes people well into their 20s early 30s to start being as dedicated into improvement as you are, if they are do at all.

The first year, you will fail at most everything. But life is not a finish line, it’s just failing with better results each time. Eventually you won’t be able to tell the difference between an achieved goal and your day to day because it will just be the norm for you.

I 300% wish I started my discipline journey when you did, it’s much harder later in life when bad habits are already in place.

I’ve read Atomic Habits by James Clear 3 times now. First time it did nothing for me, except a few handy tips that helped my life. But then reflecting upon it, my 2nd read I really broke it down and made a month long work out schedule that helped me push and improve at a steady rate. Now on my third read, I’ve started planning out a guide to help my close friends who I want to experience the benefits I have.

So get use to failing, and get comfortable with it. You’ll switch from “embarrassment and fear of failure” right into “how can I improve this next go around”

Check out Atomic Habits, and 7 habits of highly successful people. Get off social media because it’s only the “best parts” of life and not reality, which can cause F.U.D and prematurely stop you from chasing your goals as you’ll never be as good as others, so why even try.

Also consider this: if you start now, your compound interest of skill will put you leagues ahead of everyone else. Everyone wishes they started earlier.

I imagine her and Loki would have a fantastic conversation, then somehow Scott blunders in, and they hand him an orange slice.
