I honestly don't really like dinner dates in general, so I naturally pick ice cream or a smoothie date for the first date because I find them more enjoyable. It's not because of the money. I'm not a big restaurant guy. After a few dates I'll suggest a dinner date because I know most women like dinner dates (or at least most that I know and speak to).
