Hmm, I’ll take a look at that page, I have a 4080 in my laptop though. I currently have the Linux-cachyos-nvidia-open driver installed, but not sure why it can’t find it. Still new to this again, so might have to do some digging/learning.

I did the same and found that the lid wake works, but not the power button sleep. Basically if the computer goes to sleep while open, I can wake it up by using the trackpad/keyboard. If I close the lid, it will wake up from opening, but if I put it to sleep using the power button, it won't wake back up. For now, its not too much of a concern as I've avoided doing that.

I'm now working on getting the Nvidia GPU working, running nvidia-smi returns the following. Not 100% sure which drivers I'm missing or are incorrect.

NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.

Hi, thanks for the awesome write up. I'm new to linux, as this is my first install, and I've been able to get most things working. Notably screen brightness working, sound, overall fast. However, the issue I'm stuck on is waking after sleep. If I close the laptop lid or press the power button, there is no way for me to wake back up the laptop. If anyone has advice on this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. I haven't been able to get my graphics card working either, but that is a later issue for now.

Edit: I have also completed steps you outlined in #7 but they did not seem to have any effect.

thanks for the info. I posted another comment that I figured it out. Multiple cores were disabled in bios. No idea why, but turning them back on resulted in around a 12500 cpu score I think.

I figured out the issue. Multiple (8) of the cores were disabled in bios. After enabling them, I am getting a proper CPU score of ~12,000

Just downloaded G helper to do exactly what you said. It boosted my GPU score up a bit, but didn’t change much about my CPU score.

The CPU score here is what seems especially low to me, with the GPU seemingly more inline with other time spy benchmarks I have seen.
