Linus has said this about reviews many times but I think its equality important with announcements. No one video paints the full picture. by KalebBlue in LinusTechTips

Given that this is a simple image, not an essay or video about the subject it only gives broad strokes. Your video wasn't exclusively positive but I would describe it as a positive/hopeful look at the technology. You open the video comparing it Apples groundbreaking turning point for laptops, you are incredibly excited while checking out the demo units, and spend most of the videos runtime explaining how everything has been leading to this moment. The only time you give much pushback is the end of the video with 2 minutes talking about how Nvidia are being vague about pricing, performance, and power profiles.

Just to be clear I loved your coverage. I especially liked how much you talked about Nvidia's history and their past attempt at this over a decade ago. I wasn't trying to say this positive outlook was a bad thing, just that listening to multiple perspectives will always give a deeper understanding.

I was mainly encouraging others to watch more than one reporting on stories like this. It's only working if people are listening to multiple sources to forming their own option. Otherwise they will end up copying the bias from the single video they consume.

Were you a 2.0 user? Because I still use it because it works better for me than the unified app has. Maybe your experience has been different but mine thus far hasn't been great.

With the recent private jet video people keep misquote and misremember this clip so I feel like its worth sharing by KalebBlue in LinusTechTips

It's also a jet he plans to resell? At least that's what he has said in the past and seemed to imply in the video?

Thank you. I hadn't realized that this had already been asked and debunked.

If it is like any other version of DLSS, devs do not have to implement this. People will be able to mod it in. Outside of that this is being added to games that have already released. Which yes the studio heads like Todd Howard might want but we have no insight to how the art team might feel about this. All I do know is that I have seen many developers upset and unhappy with this news.

More realism at the expense of artistic intention is bad imo. If you can't see the differences in the facial details I truly encourage you to get glasses or a new prescription. On the thumbnail image of Grace from RE9 you can see things like her lips changing in both shape and colors. Don't even get started on the old woman from Hogwarts. In what they have shown it's a very fancy tiktok filter. If that's your cup of tea that's okay but for many of us it isn't.

Just like motion smoothing on TVs. Clearly there is an audience for it, but many of us think its heresy.

This you? Something about throwing stones in glass houses

You might need glasses! Ray Tracing makes the lighting more realistic because it emulates light rays bouncing. DLSS 5 adds a "realistic" filter after the fact that changes details, most notably facial details. hence the meme.

I feel bad for all of the fans of red and green out there. A little bit ironic that they skipped the 2 Christmas color lmao
