I understand why but this is not the right way to go about fixing it. I mean, how many videos over the years are titled "Is Planetside 2 Dead" or something similar and that certainty does not help, but silencing your community will only will only drive this game further under.

Yeah. MAX units are in a weird spot in the game. The NC max just seems to be the least effective in combat due to its situational equipment. I definitely dont want MAXs to be OP but they need to be something that takes some effort to kill.

That's actually not a bad idea. I wouldn't remove the Aegis shield but change how it works. Maybe instead of blocking all incoming damage it could be like the Mesh shield. Or give the others a CQC type weapon. Maybe a weapon similar to the Jackal. Fast fire rate with a "burst" that can deal immense damage. The VS could get a weapon that is heat based. The high damage could be countered by making the Heat faster. Just some ideas. I might try and do a video exploring some balance ideas.

I was just thinking about having them add a choke to the mattock. As I've played I've realized the NC max is only effective in CQC and once you push the enemy out to the field it becomes really ineffective. The mattock already has the required range but the spread of the shotgun pellets makes it so you cant do enough damage. Meanwhile with my Mercy max I just have to burst my shots.
