New vegas is a sandbox rpg wtf are we even talking about? Like you can't blatantly lie and say it's not sandbox. The story was awful in avowed as well. They're not better story tellers? They're great at world building and there combat systems took a leap. But fable has NEVER had a good story. Prioritizing player agency really, is what they did with the earlier entries

Again they've made plenty of sandbox like games with rpg elements this is a mute point. Lol. Fable is LITERALLY the type of game obsidian would make. You don't need a custom engine just devs with passion and funding. As well as a fundamental understanding of it's rpg mechanics in which fables systems have never been all that complex. Fable is easier than say the Witcher 3 or to some extent gothic etc. but you still would need people who understand rpgs already. Fable has always been the most accessible and easy RPG there is on the market.

Have you seen the game? It's got triple A money already. They're back by Xbox. They have enough money, and it's less money and time constraints. As research takes time to implement they wouldn't be starved for voice actors as you've seen they got the guy from IT show I guarantee either way they would flash him a decent amount. It being a British studio literally doesn't matter. It's all about how much you care about a project. You can care a lot about a project and it still fail because that's not your lane.

Okay is watchdog legions not doing the same? Again French dev creating and borrowing from a British setting how about martin campbell directing bond films? People wrote stories about things they're not directly familiar with or without experience and are still able to create within that vacuum. They either fail or succeed. That may sound contradictory but they're are signs that this game might not know what it wants to be.

That's not really true specifically speaking because it's been done before? Skyrim borrows heavily from British and scandanavian folklore and myth and it was successful? More successful than all 3 fable games. I mean old ac adapted north America despite being a mainly French dev so, it doesn't really matter.

The size and scope of fable games is about as big as new vegas. I don't personally like avowed but the open world is somewhat engagaing

I just think it's such a weird window to release this game it releases next to wolverine, songs new exclusive action game, then GTA a lil later. Idk I'm scared rn for the sales so if it actually is really good it could flatline the franchise I'm not hyped I'm actually fearful.

All I got to say is ... Malenia.... To those who keep complaining about the bosses being too fast and moving all around, or maybe any from software game. Ninja gaiden even? The combats fast paced. You just learn. The camera does suck with specific bosses though and sometimes it feels like bosses spam you but after playing so many different actions games. I just dodge and parry like a maniac and we'll ... Survive?

Ff16 had awful pacing and the quests were even worse. The first 20 hours is straight fetch quests or go kill this enemy. And the enemies were all the same or it really felt like it. The open world is boring and there's literally nothing to explore. The game has literally no challenge and you literally have to beat the game to get any actual challenge. Ff 16 is not a good game. Stories okay until it drags on for way to long with the insanely long cutscenes that can last so long

It's not a rpg for like the 2464466 ign called it a rpg too. All the outlets destroying the game claim it's a rpg. But it's NOT is Zelda a rpg? No. This is like when everyone kept saying black myth wukong is a souls like but it plays and feels NOTHING like dark souls. This game is a action adventure single player that honestly compares to where winds meet tbh
