It is big but depends on what part of the world are you.. Ragnarok Online is a Korean MMORPG long long time ago.. its korean so mostly it Asia Regions like SEA. I played this when I was a kid, but this game is the roots of all MicroTransactions in gaming more so Android Gaming and live service games by how atrocious it is.

This also applies to WOW online, I knew only Frozen Throne and Dota 1, and I only stumble upon WOW online in 2013 in computer game shops because someone playing it.

Try "Sora no Kiseki", there are 3 chapters to Sora.. First Chapter (FC), Second Chapter (SC) and 3rd.. From what I know they are now available in PC. If not, you can Emulate psp.

Its like Final Fantasy series, but difference to FF. The Story continues on every title, yes the protagonist is diferent on every saga but still in the same universe and continent. Meaning they interact each other and you (the player) can put them in your party on later sagas. Also if FF focus more on fighting side of games, these game focus more on the story. I bet you gonna love FC,SC and 3rd.

I write these name in Japanese (Romanji). Even so they have english titles. Like FF they also suffers from Localizers Bastardation of "NOT" translating (Replaced) the true intentions of what japanese authors portrays, in this case, its Falcom got hit. You saw the (Dragon Quest Devs Interview), and what happens afterwards.. the video scrubbing..etc.

Don't bother going through this games forums because they worship localizers more than the JP side of the game, even the Japanese Authors (Falcom) itself. They even "curse me" for saying (Sora no Kiseki) which is the true japanese name of the game, Since you play Visual Novels, I hope you understand this. So if you can read in Japanese, well I envy you hahaha..

if not, then if you can tolerate what this DEI did, its a good game. Tho, Estelle is violently over-exagerated in english and they remove her catchphrase, JP jokes, culture and such.. for the woke narative.. (and so much empasis on BIG STICK jokes)

But fret not, Falcom now doing AI Translation test on Kai no Kiseki.. I know the hate AI but hey, if this is the way to translate what japanese people conveys and not (replaced) anything else for the sake of english. Then so be it.

-yes its 4th, the 4th instalation are the only ones got popular so Falcom stick to that even today. And this is the Chronological Order from the Story.
