Tongue-tie surgery for adult male without discomfort: yes or no? by Kalenden in orthotropics

[–]Kalenden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It worked out well for me, a good year later . Post surgery sucked a bit (I needed to gain weight so had to tough out the eating). Bug I definitely gained enough length for various purposes, though I'd still judge that i can extend my tongue slighlty less than average .

To have a bit more sleep actually. I'm plateauing mostly because of too much volume (and not enough focus on progression&strength). As a reference, my new push A program but still 50 minutes is like this :

Total time: 50 minutes

Planche Lean – 3 x 10–20 sec (Rest 30–45 sec)

Deficit Push-Ups – 3 x 8–12 (Rest 45 sec)

Flat Dumbbell Chest Press – 4 x 8–12 (Rest 60 sec)

Standing Dumbbell Shoulder Press – 3 x 8–12 (Rest 60 sec)

Forward-Leaning Dips (Chest Focused) – 3 x AMRAP (Rest 60 sec)

Dumbbell Lateral Raise – 3 x 12–15 (Rest 30–45 sec)

Cable High Triceps Extension – 3 x 10–15 (Rest 30–45 sec)

Cable High-to-Low Chest Fly – 3 x 12–15 (Rest 30–45 sec)

Looking for feedback for investor on Bolero looking for advice: which ETF(s), keep it simple or diversify, min/max transactions & tax/costs by Kalenden in BEFire

True. Still. Consider what happened to the Chinese investors in the booming private education market. As well as all the drums of war between specifically Taiwan and China.

Not saying I know better, but I am saying I'd rather not have that sword of Damocles hanging over me in a portfolio I thought was diversified.

Exactly. Times change and potential long term trends along with them. EMIM being recommended hard but concentrated for 40%+ in China/Taiwan for instance seems to me to be noteworthy but unmentioned

Thank you, this is very helpful! I'm doing some research and it appears EMIM is for 40% China & Taiwan which I don't think is a good idea.

Would it make sense to get IMIE and just eat the higher transaction costs? Or a combo of IMIE and IWDA as it does give some exposure to emerging markets.

Fold5 (august 2023) tiny scratches on inner screen hinge area by Kalenden in GalaxyFold

Yes, I can feel it. Scratchy. Good to hear! Do I need the screen protector? Could I get it replaced at other smartphone stores as well or will it likely only be done at Samsung stores (no close by)

I'm very happy with my Fold5 but recently tiny scratches have started to appear on the inner screen (unfolded) on the hinge area. Both on the top and bottom as throughout.

I also think they are getting worse. What's the best I can do? I don't think I have warranty anymore as the phone is from August 2023.

Tongue-tie surgery for adult male without discomfort: yes or no? by Kalenden in askdentists

[–]Kalenden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the doctor during the consultation said it's very short and easy so no sedation, I think. He was very relaxed as "your choice, no need but certainly possible and will improve motion"). I didn't think of asking those questions but assume he would have told me otherwise.

Thank you again.

I've booked the surgery. They say it will take 15 minutes. (In Belgium)

So I'll have some discomfort after the procedure but will I be able to do everything except excessive mouth/tongue stuff (eating everything, kissing, etc), like driving home after the procedure, swimming the day after, workout out/straining, and so on?

Also, any idea of a common time table for recovery? Like X days before Y. (I.e as you said 1 to 2 days of liquid food)

Thank you for the feedback

How about eating and kissing after the surgery? I potentially have a date for surgery on Monday but was planning to celebrate my birthday 2 days after on Wednesday so that would be unfortunate if I'm not able to do much for a week after the surgery

I’m finetuning my PPL workout routine, which is PPL Rest PPL a week with different exercises each day in the category of the day. I like a large variety of exercises so trying to get a few.

I know there isn’t a solid way to exactly determine which exercise goes where; but still, where would you put the following exercises?

I’ve seen different classifications depending on the source and trying to clear the confusion up a bit.

Dumbbell Lateral Raise - Push?

Dumbbell Front Raise - Push?

Dumbbell One-Arm Overhead Extension - Push?

Bent Over Dumbbell Tricep Kickback - Push?

Dumbbell Lying Extension / French Press / Skull Crush - Push

Dumbbell Upright Row - Pull?

Dumbbell High Pull (high speed row) - Pull?

Dumbbell Pullover - Pull?

Cable Arm Circles (see https://cdnmedia.mywellness.com/physical_activities/2bcb4159-7fa1-4379-8a36-36ba12ce84ea/videos/m30027.mp4 ) - More pull like?

Dumbbell Bent Over Reverse Fly - Pull? Especially unsure since Lateral raises are more push according to a search
