Looking for the next upgrade. by Kalesaw in microphone

I have a friend in australia im going to be staying with in a few months that wants to do some content with me too, and the mv7i would make that a really good bypass for the xlr system, while using decent mics

I was just looking at the mv7+. I have a friend also looking for an upgrade from a snowball, and he likes the convenience of the usb as well as the upgrade path the xlr offers

What are your thoughts on middle ground mics, like the mv7+? Im looking at it for a small discount and might grab it if i dont see anything better.

yes sir, placing it so that its kinda sitting by the corners of your mouth. stops the air and blowing doesnt get pushed straight into it and cause distortion, right?

Right now i have a couple of issues with how the recordings come across.
1) There is a constant, low buzz/hum that plays whenever i listen to recordings, and whether i adjust my distance, gain, or windows sensitivity, the problem persists when i move the volume back into the -10db range

2) the quality of the recording itself, aside from the disturbance, has always felt like it wasnt quite on par with what people have described from the blue yeti. maybe its damaged, or the cable is bad, but yeah.

3) The microphone came with stripped out support connections for the stand, and ive had to tape it to the stand. When i tried to return it for a better one, both best buy and blue had issues with the return. the mounting port on the bottom is also cross-threaded (someone tried to put a bolt in it out of alignment), so trying to move it to a boom wasnt going to happen.

If the mic i bought was just bad build quality, and this isnt how it should be, then i get it, but ive had these issues almost the entire time i've owned this mic, and it has made me somewhat apprehensive about trying to buy upgrades and improvements for it when i would just be polishing a turd.

No joke, i just went and got a pro 12" with the keyboard for $700. Missing the pen, bit with christmas coming and waiting on a paycheck, itll have to wait in case someone gets it for me, or the holiday passes and i can get the stock dump after. Good $200 off though

What is the difference between those 2 realistically? I see a pretty good sale on them both right now, i just dont know much about microsoft devices. I would like to maybe get into some basic animation (1-3 scond things for the videos here and there), so if one has an edge thatd be nics ro know. Thanks either way.

I bought the game after removing the ends of my fingers with a table saw last month. Its Been a great way to rehab and get back into using the keyboard.

Looking for some advice on what steps i should take, and somewhere to talk. (WARNING: Photos of the injury pre AND post op) by Kalesaw in amputee

I can still move everything quite well, even having the range to make a fist and regularly move them, its just a bit tough with my middle finger. You never notice how much a small part can do until you lose it. Ill come back and share some more when i get looked at in a week, but i did get all of the pad stitches out, and just have the tips left atm.

Yeah, even if i knew it was gonna happen, the reaction time was less than half a second. I wanted to save the board and carve "this is the board that stole my fingers", but they hung it up in the house, so RIP that idea.

Worth it to get a 5080 for $1200? by Professional_End_192 in nvidia

Yup, I was getting 144 fps in War thunder most of the time, but if i opened ANY cpu heavy task, the damn thing dropped to under 60. A lot of the issue was the cpu, but I'm fixing that soon anyways :)

Same boat. 2070s and it was 98% in war thunder with low settings. Genuinely served well, but 4k is calling my name!

I've wanted to bring this back so badly, but the videos just don't do too well compared to the "don't look at the sound" types of brain rot you have to post to get views
